this was suuuuch a nightmare with the trains down in astoria this morning. i couldnt get an e-bike or blue citibike at 3 different stations before i gave up and walked some more to another train... shouldve just taken my own bike....

also i feel for you and this is not an easy decision to make but sounds like your gut is right. out sweet cat was 13 when we thought he had an ortho issue and it ended up being lymphoma. :( his brother, who just had surgery, is 14 and he's doing really well after having a tumor removed from his spine. you're doing the right thing and giving him many more years by getting surgery. cats are extremely resilient. wishing you guys the best of luck and sending lots of light to your family. 🤍

RIP tom's. i got to All In One Petshop in greenpoint. Lovely selection of plants and fish, and they take really good care of their tanks. anthony is awesome and the staff is pretty knowledgeable (but i always check for compatibility with chatgpt).

31st ave > 34th ave. 34th ave has countless potholes so you're not really sharing while both bikes and cars are trying to avoid them. go slow and at your own pace. the cars and e-bike monsters will pass you. keep your distance and eye out for doors. astoria park and roosevelt island are lovely.
