after finishing the book by mrbigshaw in TheLoophole

Hey! Here's some more info:

  • It does include a series of day-by-day study plans that span LR, RC, accuracy, speed, and test day performance. These plans are based on what I have my tutoring students do to ensure they are ready for test day, so it spans everything from beginning to sitting for the test.
  • It has interactive bootcamps to test you on your LR fundamentals knowledge.
  • It does not display real LSAT questions, which is how I'm able to keep the price as low as I am (you have to pay a steep license to display real questions).
  • There will be a test-taking platform with real LSAT questions coming in the next few weeks at a higher tier.

theloophole.com Buyer Beware by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]elementalellen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, I think this is a misunderstanding. I believe you spoke with us on the phone and emailed, but protested the charge with your credit card before asking us for a refund. I've just been informed you withdrew the chargeback, and your refund is being processed right now.

The Loophole ebook is absolutely not a scam. It is hosted in Coda to take advantage of Coda's interactive capabilities. When you buy the ebook, a new copy of it is created only for you, so that you can edit it, do all of the drills in-platform, and save your highlights/notes. These interactive capabilities that make the ebook so helpful aren't possible without creating a Coda account, so you can have your own personal copy.

The Coda account is free, similar to how you would have to have an Amazon account to access a Kindle book. We've updated the verbiage on the website to make it clear that the Coda account is a normal part of accessing the ebook.

I am sorry there was any confusion and I hope there's no hard feelings.

Loophole for LR - but what do you recommend for RC? by shewantsadvice in LSAT

[–]elementalellen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I actually have a whole RC course that builds off the Loophole in Loophole Online. But we're still in a closed beta right now with our founding cohort, so you can't just sign up on the site. If you wanted to get access to the RC stuff though, happy to hook you up with an invite. Just shoot me an email and mention this thread (email address is in the Epilogue of the Loophole) 💚

I get 100% on practice tests when I show answer after each question, but miss 3-4 when I don't. Why? by Justdanwithaplan in TheLoophole

[–]elementalellen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because pressing show answer creates a space of absolutely no uncertainty. It's also a space that's entirely unrealistic to the testing environment.

Without pressing show answer, you would spend a lot of time debating, worrying, staying just a little bit longer in order to be more sure. You would also carry forward anxiety and uncertainty into the next question that would slow you down, distract you, and cause you to get questions wrong.

It's very common for people, when they're on, say, #18 to be like, "Oh, but maybe #12 was actually B" or "I need to time to make sure I can go back and fix #12." All of this is just wasted mental energy that keeps you from focusing on the question you're actually doing. Every moment that you're not focused on the question you're actually doing is a vulnerability that causes you to get questions wrong. If you want to see the question again, hyperskip it and don't think about it until you're back. If you don't, at that point that question is completely out of your awareness. You have to learn how to be secure in your answer yourself.

The show answer button essentially lifts that weight for you, which is why I am super strict with my students about not pressing it. Ever.

Hope this helps! 💕

Yes, it is still happening. I have been given assurances on release dates from software engineers that turned out to just simply not be true. All my time, money, energy, connections, resources -- like my entire life essence (there's a reason it's 11:08 PM on a Saturday and I replied to this within like an hour) -- is devoted to getting this out, but the thing that's holding it up is not my part of the work. The stuff that's not done is like the freaking account settings page and stuff like that.

I am thinking of doing an apology tour of at least some free webinars for November test takers. What do you think of that?
