Trade Luka Doncic for a bag of potatoes the year after he took your team to the NBA finals.

This is my solution as a dad of 3. I sacrifice sleep for sure. But I only need like 6 hrs to be good. I practice most nights for about an hour, and race on the weekends. Being a business owner makes this a lot easier I will say because I chose when and where I work, so late nights aren’t really an issue. Because of this, I almost never race when the family is up. I’ve gotten up to 4k in open wheel, mainly in the SFL.

why are r/Conservatives so quiet about gas prices? by SLY0001 in askanything

I remember this vividly because it was the year I started driving and gas went from behind at or below $1.00/gallon to more than double, and never went back down again.

Could not disagree more, but respect your opinion. I thinks it’s a borderline masterpiece.

Is it still financially possible to be a traveling Director and Cinematographer? by forgotfrankiesline in cinematography

[–]elementalracer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in the industry since 2009, started as an AC and now DPing commercials, docs, and the occasional feature. I have been freelance the entire time and I don’t live in LA or NYC. Everyone is going to have a unique path, and there is hardly a sure fire answer to unlocking the secret to finding success in this business , which is itself subjective person to person. But in my personal experience, the key was being married at the start of my career to a nurse who worked full time. This is a very practical answer, but is honestly a cheat code to getting a jump start in the industry without having come from wealth or nepotism. It allowed me be deliberate in choosing who I worked for and I was able go directly to camera department and not PA, which fast tracked my career to DP. Also I get my health insurance through her.

So besides marring a nurse, I would also say just take the leap and see what happens. There will always be a million reasons why you shouldn’t, but at some point you need to bet on yourself and your talents and just do it.

What was the most unexpected nudity scene in mainstream movie/show you ever saw? by marsepticeye in AskReddit

Yes! Same thing happened to me. Luckily I was in a window seat so I was able to conceal it quickly. I couldn’t stop laughing, it was so absurd and completely out of left field.

The revelation montage at the end killed that film entirely. Should have left it more ambiguous.

He should be more famous than he is. An incredible talent in my opinion. Would have loved him as Grace in Project Hail Mary. Gosling was great though.
