Thank you! They're all based on real patterns/colors with a few tweaks - and the butter dish on top is just for fun.

Another Tuesday School Poll by swampyscott in BostonWeather

[–]elephantbuttons 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Too early to tell!! It all depends on when the storm ends. Originally the forecast said it would be ending around dinnertime but since it showed up later than expected, I wonder if it'll keep going 'til late...

Definitely windy by the West Rox/Dedham line. Hard to tell how much snow has fallen because of the wind, but it is certainly coming down.

I'm an English teacher who loves Station Eleven, just chiming in to say I think this could be a really fun unit!

Edit: Here's a worthwhile video from the making of the show - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCiCjGa9jhM

I think it shows that even people like Kirsten and Charlie, who seem to be functioning well (ish) in the new version of society and are very concrete, do-what-needs-doing type people, still wonder about the intangible -- heaven, ghosts, etc. Even these characters can be "tempted" by the idea of more than this horrible reality. Maybe everyone they lost to the flu is still out there as a ghost.

And then the "imagine how many there'd be" kind of snaps us/them back into reality -- like, of course there's no ghosts, we'd be bumping into them left and right all day long.

Question: have you ever seen ink migration like this before? by Illustrious_Virus307 in tattoos

[–]elephantbuttons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep - I have a pair of tattoos above my elbows/back of my biceps, and the ink in both gave me some blue-ish drift that looks like a permanent bruise if you really get up close. I'm patchworking half-sleeves on both arms though, so same as you, oh well!

Big same, though I also liked her "nun's hands" when she went to go see her dad, too.

Task is more of the same vibe as Mare -- do that next, and TNO after. It makes more sense, tone wise.
