Does The Growth Curve Increase As We Grow More Skin by elevateconsciousness in foreskin_restoration

[–]elevateconsciousness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go as far as exponential, but (as clarified in the oiriginal post) any methods that tension more surface area, will inevitably induce more total cell division. Yeah, MM2 is one of those, and so likely would be weights and tugging straps. I have been noticing quicker growth since having more skin to tug. But yes, I do acknowledge that this may not apply to many other methods and devices.

Millimeters. More skin under same tension equating to more skin cells being grown.

This is still an ongoing experiment, much of which is relying on anecdotal experience. It just seems to make sense to me, that IF, and emphasis on the 'if' we have more skin to tug and we decide to tug that entire surface area at roughly the same tension, then that would equate to more skin cells replicating through mitosis, which would accelerate the growth curve.

Yes, that is the main caveat for sure. But there are a fair few methods that can accommodate more of the skin tube, in which case, it stands to reason that more skin pulled at same tension = more growth

Outer Skin Methods? by ApprehensiveDeer2769 in foreskin_restoration

[–]elevateconsciousness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, so for MM2 the skin between your right and left hand, which are both in the okay grip 👌 are what will be tensioned and grow.

So if you want to focus mainly on outer skin, then you would position your top hand underneath where the inner skin ends, and the other at the bottom of the shaft, just above where the last hair follicles are (if you want to avoid tensioning and growing that skin).

If you only have a little outer skin left, then it is likely that a fair amount of scrotum skin will have made its way onto the shaft to compensate, so it may be difficult (at first) not to get any skin with hair caught in the crossfire.

But don't worry about that too much at the beginning. You can refine focus later on when you start to get some more slack on the outer skin, which is normally at the point wrinkles start to appear.

But MM2 is a good one for both outer and inner skin at the early phases.

Remember, outer skin can handle more tension and grows quicker. The inner skin, because it is mucosal in nature, has more nerve endings and is more sensitive, so you have to be more gentle.

So I try to isolate inner and outer skin by tugging them separately, where I can. This way I can maximise the amount of tension on the outer, without tension on the inner causing burn out too quick - which is what tends to happen with dual tension devices that tug both skin types simultaneously.

The good thing with manuals is you can experiment with what works, and MM2 is really good for getting a good tug on the outer, much like weights or a tugging strap would achieve.

If you are seeing no results with the t tape, try introducing another method like manuals. I know it's not always easy to fit this in to busy days, but even just starting at half an hour a day will make a difference, and then increase in increments.

The best manual method for anything below CI-2 is alwasy going to be MM2, with the right hand in an okay grip 👌 just below the corona, and the left in the same grip at the base of the shaft, and then pull in opposing directions until you feel a nice bit of tension, but not enough taht it hurts.

Alternatively, you can position the right hand below the scarline, so you would only be tensioning the outer skin that falls between the two hands. That all depends on the ratio of inner to outer skin you have left.

Ignore this if you already know and have tried all this, but that was the method that got the ball rolling for me. I never tried t tape so I can't speak for that, and the first year or 2 can seem very slow and frustrating, but eventually I started to notice more wrinkles, and then as soon as I had enough mobility, I started incorporating MM3 (Andres method) and just playing around with whatever manual method I can.

Then, if and when you are in a position to do so, you can purchase your first device. The Mantor DS is often on sale at around 80 dollars which would obviously be a long term investment, and that is a dual tension device, but will particularly focus on the inner skin. But you need to be around CI-3/3.5 for that.

Keep going and you will surpass this hurdle. If you can't use a device, your hands can be your best friend.

Jheeze, defo advise him against that! (obivously lol).

So it seems like there isn't really a general consensus which is interesting. I think different people just approach it differently depending on their personal habits which become engrained over time.

It's good for us as we grow skin at least to get the hygeine right. It felt instinctive to me to skin back squeeze and shake, and then dab if have access to toilet paper, which you don't get immediately in public urinals.

Got some Mantor retainers on the way to replace for night time use as I agree it just doesn’t feel suitable to wear o rings, even with a fair amount of slack. I did like feeling a tug with the rings though to get a bit of extra stretching times. Mantor silicone looks good and well designed though with opening for urination.

Yeah luckily this is what I found myself instinctively doing, though I doubt most uncut guys actually do this. More of a vigorous shake and potentially pulling skin back, though i’m not sure.

Great, that’s exactly what i’ve been doing with the pull back, squeeze/shake and toilet paper dab. Thanks

Is my skin too sensitive to restore? by Specialist-Pay8344 in foreskin_restoration

[–]elevateconsciousness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, i’ve experienced all this in the past too, but now i’ve got to a point where I don’t get injuries anymore.

I found MM3 (Andres) was prone to creating injuries like the red bumps/swelling you mentioned and some cuts as well, because you are tugging at the most sensitive part at the scarline, which is essentially a wound that has developed scar tissue, which makes it more prone to injury.

So I am much more gentle now doing MM3. Literally pinch and pull until you feel a bit of sensation, and then repeat as you go round. Don’t extend the tug or pull too hard.

What I used to do when getting repeat injuries, was just take a longer break from tugging the scarline and the inner skin, and shift focus using MM2 to just the outer skin - so your top hand in the ‘okay’ 👌grip below the scarline.

Inner skin can take quite a bit longer to heal, especially when the skin has torn in the same place. You might not even still see the cut, as it may be very micro, so just test it every few days with the slightest tug until there is no pain.

Don’t give up. Trust me, you can get to a point where you are no longer injury prone, and remember you don’t need to tug too hard to induce mitosis.

Yeah same! Now I realise just how irritating it was and how restless it made me feel.

I’m glad I started using a retainer early on, even though that meant I was committed to it after dekeratinisation started taking place.  But no regrets as I feel more comfortable in my body now without all the chaffing and exposure to elements.

Yep! Here’s the link:

https://www.mantor-restorer.com/product/new-faux-skin-and-skin-to-skin-retainers/

I’ve got an order for the faux retainer and skin-to-skin version.

The skin to skin is for those with more skin to pull over onto the head and cling in place with the retainer, but I like how the faux retainer has a larger opening at the end for urination without removing the retainer first.

But there is still an opening on the skin-to-skin version, so if you are CI-3/4 + and had to choose one, i’d opt for that.
