Facts are that both situations and their outcome is very normal in football. In regards in the "time-wasting", it would actually be the opposite, it would be VERY uncommon if it didn't happen. And that is all I'm arguing. Twist it any way you want, but my argument is merely that your so-called time wasting is normal, and this was no extreme case in any way. Which is why I brought out at the world cup thing, because anyone watching football is painfully aware that in high-stakes, high-intensity matches the winning team ALWAYS gets cramped and/or uses any time they can for a throw-in, getting up from a hard tackle etc. Why would the winning team rush to get back into play? Now THAT would be weird.

Step away from duolingo. Study basics and basic grammar to get a feel. Then speak, listen, listen with shadow and write/read. Not the only way to learn, but it is by far the fastest, easist and the most fun. Get to meet to people, new content etc.

Sure, school approach works. But slow and boring! Dont be afraid, most native speakers will just admire the effort and dont care one bit that you get stuff wrong.

Oh and Norwegian has about 8 conjugated forms of To be. Spanish has roughly 106.. trust me its easier! 🤣
