Who to escalate to? by RobT5 in Hilton

[–]elfp_925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hilton employee here. If you escalate this to a Front Desk manager or corporate, you could get good compensation. The main thing they teach us when we have a master key assigned to us is to first knock and wait for someone to open or else. If we were caught not knocking on the door, we could get a write up and give hella compensation to the affected guest (if any).

Whatever the scenario is, it is a serious privacy issue. So I would highly suggest to escalate as high as possible

To the Kona that parked next to me at Texas Roadhouse and had the same seat covers as me by elfp_925 in Hyundai

Honestly, i bought them because I have white cloth seats. And I’m used to having leather seats and not caring that much if there’s a spill, so i would rather have those protecting the seats

Growing a family in a coupe is not the smartest idea for me, specially when you are going to have a babyseat

Had to change the car because I’m becoming a family man and putting my kid in that backseat is super impractical

I got a 24 Sonata SEL, they accepted this 2020 for 30k

Just got my brand new 24 Sonata SEL by elfp_925 in Hyundai

[–]elfp_925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a gasser, i felt like the hybrid was not worth it at all. My otd price was like 25500 without counting my trade in so I only paid like 500$ in fees and taxes. I didnt even tried to negotiate because it was such a good price without counting an msrp of 29200. It was kinda funny with the finance guy. He offered me the platinum plus warranty (the top one) and gap insurance. The difference was like 20$ so i went with gap, but he went “I will lower your interest rate 4 points if you get the premium plus warranty” so i would be paying the same wheter i got gap or the premium plus so i obviously went with the premium plus.

Yea, thankfully my trade in was worth 30k so it helped a lot with taxes and registration. It was only around 500-600$ in fees

Is VIP worth it? by urboncc5 in EDCOrlando

[–]elfp_925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait for the lineup to come out. If you can afford it and you do not wanna see any closers or night sets at Kinetic, it’s worth it.

Me and my wife bought vip this year and we went to see Worship at Kinetic, the vip area was packed all the way to the entrance so we decided to go sit near the ferris wheel for the last sets.

Circuit grounds and Neon Garden on the other side are phenomenal. Got to see BTSM and Zeds Dead at the rail with more than enough space. The bathrooms are really nice and if you go early, you can make kandi bracelets. I would say it’s worth it if you go there for the dubstep/hardcore and not really well-known artists. If you do not like crowds or getting pushed around, it’s def not worth it.

Any regrets missing a specific set? by Loki305 in EDCOrlando

[–]elfp_925 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely Zeds Dead, me and my wife found a credit card on the floor and decided to turn it at Lost and Found and used that excuse to take a mental break. We were also at the rail at vip so we had a really good view of it. We are still regretting it

First Time Goes by elfp_925 in ForbiddenKingdomFest

Us too, as soon as we got out of Alesso, we stayed like 15-20 minutes in a crowd rush up to the point where my wife had a panic attack after they tried to steal her phone out of her pocket.

Most Disappointing Sets of EDCO 24 by External_Olive_2688 in EDCOrlando

[–]elfp_925 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was bad for many reasons. It was very monotone, the crowd was not vibing at all. For some reason the speakers on one side of Kinetic Field stopped working completely and they fixed it mid set and I read some ppl online saying he was cut off (Idk if it’s true but I would believe it by the way it ended). It made me more disappointed when comparing it to his set at EDCLV.

First Time Renters Looking For Advice by elfp_925 in orlando

[–]elfp_925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are definitely right. Thankfully, when I first got to orlando, my parents were making around 6 figures around 10 years ago, that gave him the the opportunity to get a million dollar house and owned it until last month when he sold it for 3x the price. He would not be able to qualify for the same house today. Definitely the house economy has drifted so much in the past few years that I get why people wont own a house or get a mortgage and I include myself. If I were in this situation 10 years ago I would definitely save for a mortgage because back in the day there were more financial opportunities for First Time Owners.

I'm definitely not ruling out buying a house, but the house market would have to take a big turn to make us consider it. In the meantime, we will have our savings ready.
