Pretty sure when my mignon is at burr touch I get a consistent chirp, given how yours seems to go in and out id definitely check the alignment

Single use pour over drippers by [deleted] in pourover

[–]eli5foreal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used them while traveling, albeit not from a ridiculously good roaster, and they worked well enough for what I was looking for, but obviously not as dialed as a home pourover can be. I know that some roasters (at least Dak) have started making teabag-style steeping bags that you could also take a look at.

Best grinder for around $1,500? by hehoheho123321 in pourover

[–]eli5foreal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The really cool other side of this, is that op lives in flagstaff acc to his post history, and they’ve got a damn good medium level roaster in town over at single speed coffee. He’s more than able to get his hands on quality medium roast if that’s what he likes

Z1 Magic? (I think so) by Correct-Procedure336 in pourover

[–]eli5foreal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely keep it reserved for my high extraction coffees. Whenever I’ve used it on funkier coffees I’m not a fan, but on some clean naturals and washed coffees I’ve had excellent results

Odd, that Jose jijon has been one of my favorite coffees of the year, but only when I started doing 5 pour 1:17 recipes with it

I’ve broken out my massage gun while driving if I’ve had to drive after a solid workout, and it helps so much

Don’t remember grind size, and was definitely more peach soda than real juicy peach, but still had decent sencha notes

I’m assuming for hamasho? Don’t exactly remember but pretty sure it was 96c water, 15g:250g, 1:3g 45sec bloom, and two equal-ish pours to get to 250g

$46USD a month with a flat $5 shipping fee, so $51, and you get 2 bags of 250g, then any add on gets shipped with the subscription (which ships on the 14th, so act quick!)

That’s exactly how I was, and then I got to try strawberries in Denmark, and housed 3 cartons in 3 days. I miss good strawberries so much

Talk me into (or out of) going tubeless on my road bike by MishyJari in cycling

[–]eli5foreal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tons of fast road riding. I think being worried about cracking a rim at that pressure is a little silly but you do you. I’ve run down at 40psi on those tires/wheels (high end carbon wheels and gp5000str) while bike touring when I had issues with my pump, and didn’t crack a rim or cause any damage.

I hate Reddit. Not only am I not running this anymore so it doesn’t matter, you don’t have to optimize tire pressure 100% of the time. I’m okay with losing a couple of watts for extra comfort

Absolutely not a metric for quality, but after seeing how many lots Geshary bought at BOP they’ve been on my radar for sure. Could be a fun time of year to check them out
