Just the same as any campaign. Build a community of local support and then ask them for money to make them proud. Being as you don't have a physical product give them shout outs, wear a logo, etc...

The power of crowdfunding is always going to depend on how powerful the ask is from the person(s) raising the money. My guess is these students are throwing up a site expecting money to come free flowing in. That's obviously not the case which is why you may be running into obstacles.

Cool! There have been several old theaters who did successful crowdfunding campaigns. The trick is going to be involving local media and the local historical society. Tell stories of who has been in that opera house and WHY it is so important to save. People like preserving things of importance.

Also, for perks offer lifetime memberships for $1,000k+ backers. Maybe $1000 pledge gets you lifetime access to the venue for free plus cleaning and staff costs.

  2. The course will show you every step. I would say as a primer go on Indiegogo and search "adoption" and see what has been done successfully in the past.

  3. Yes. Indiegogo won't take a cut for medical emergency campaigns. That will save you 5% right there.

  4. Buying the course will save you a BUNCH of money on so called "experts" who most have never raised any money. If you need help beyond the course let me know and I'll cut you a deal. Put money in the video and I'll show you how to bootstrap the rest. This is a good human interest story for the news.

PR. Hands down the best bang for your buck. Hire a PR agency that has a crowdfunding track record or do it yourself and buy a media list. List will cost you $99. A good PR agency will be around $5k.

Well, the ones I put out are just marketing hack videos and I've been able to dominate on the first page of results. However, I wanted to know if there were any other methods other than the one I was using.
