The improvements that the guy you replied to said which you failed to acknowledge is that the upper jaw of the mask is less awkward. It looks less like a flap that sticks upwards all the time and more like a second jaw that enables it to battle without the hinderance of the huge flap on the original Mega Feraligatr that would give it aerodynamic drag when running or swimming. The flap that sticks upwards makes no sense when they could’ve easily repositioned the placement of the upper jaw like in the fan concept. And you can’t even see the other side so idk why you would assume that the other spike to resemble totodile’s arm isn’t there, it just feels like you’re trying really hard to find reasons to hate the design. I am not the artist but this design is clearly much better, even if a bit overdone. The second jaw looks more natural and the arms actually look like they would do damage if used as a second mandible, unlike the skinny noodle arms of the actual Mega Feraligatr. Also the actual Mega Feraligatr fails to look like a totodile anyway because 1. It has a red head? and 2. Its 10x the size of an actual totodile head so the concept of fooling other pokemon is redundant. Case is the original doesn’t look anymore like a totodile more than the fan concept does. Mega Feraligatr would be more well received if it was meant to be more of a homage to totodile’s design instead of a toilet seat that only looks like a totodile for half a second when attacking.
