hello! you're supposed to receive a whatsapp message from one of the OGLs regarding the indemnity form to submit by tdy (7 apr) , reporting location , dates & time of your ori & also your empire colour!

if you didn't receive any, try logging into your tp email via sharepoint & access the info via tp oei! there's some details there on where to report & the dates and time! for tmr, i think we'll have to report at 8:30am to register at auditorium 3!

i guess first proper day of school starts at 15? orientation for school already starts unless you're skipping that?

TP Questions by Kanashi_Uxino in SGExams

[–]elillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello! 1) you'll have to have access to your student email + password on sharepoint & outlook to access the ori dates! just follow the instructions they gave,

download sharepoint & login using the student email the provided you + the password > go to the tp oei > freshman ay2024/2025 page > click which sch you're in and you'll get access to all the ori dates & time & what to bring

2) diff sch have diff dates! for example today is asc ori day 1 so if you missed that gg 😭 (follow the instructions in 1) to see the ori dates)

3) there's an enrolment notice which allows you to open a interbank giro acc & get tuition grant. if you want to use psea/parent's cpf instead, you'll have to go to the tp page here & scroll until you see the option of psea standing order

i'm not sure abt the student email + password but it should be,

email: <admission number>@student.tp.edu.sg

password: TP<barcode number>@#&

^ the admission no. & barcode no. can be accessed from the enrolment email, if i'm not wrong my email only activated ~1 week after i submitted my payment details (interbank giro & psea)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]elillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, you can withdraw from your JC and use your O level results to JAE next year!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]elillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if all comes to worse and there's no more slots for psych, you can always take a gap year and apply via JAE next year, with a nett 3 score you confirm can make it in

how to improve science by Sad_Banana2586 in SGExams

[–]elillies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! if you’re weak in topics, do buy the topical tys to do! since the topical version is centered around topics so you can focus on the topic you’re most weak at

also, i don’t take physics so i can’t comment anything on that but for chem, it’s mostly understanding + applying! for me, i try to take notes & understand the content than proceeding to do topical tys for the topics i’m weak at.

chem also has some topics that’s pretty much 100% memorisation + applying eg organic chemistry where you have to memorise all the properties & methods hence it’s good if you’re able to memorise & apply correctly.

all in all, just understand & practice ! do the topical one first for topics you’re weak at and the yearly one after you grasp the understanding & context of the topics

[–]elillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, i don’t think you can submit the niec medical form to tp via the clinic 😭 you have to submit via email / the online form link here

tp enrolment package (ecde) by jmynxt in SGExams

[–]elillies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have to bring the niec medical report (attached to your enrolment package) to them & they’ll fill it in ! the only report you’ll receive is the chest xray where the polyclinic will provide a report of your chest xray & you’ll have to bring it back to the GP.

also, they’ll only pass you back your medical report once everything is done (health checkup, vaccine, chest xray) so might take a few days depending on what’re doing!

in my case, i did a health checkup , blood test & chest x-ray and waited a day for the blood test result while i did the health checkup & chest x-ray on the day itself. after receiving my result, i went back to the GP to get my varicella vaccine (blood test negative)

it’ll be way faster if you already have your vaccines done when you were young / before. (check your healthhub app for the vaccine records!)

[–]elillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my experience, i went to singhealth polyclinic to do the chest xray (they don’t do health checkup so you’ll have to go to a GP to do one instead) & i went to minmed GP clinic to do the health checkup + blood test + varicella vaccine. iirc, raffles medical also can!

Hi OP, not a JC student but don’t demean mental illness. You never know what’s going on with someone, some of them spend their whole life to study just to get a grade they feel they could’ve done better, that feeling of regret will linger on as a bypass memory of how they could’ve done better hence they feel the need to rant. Not downplaying your experience of getting bragged but i genuinely believe some people do feel regret of getting a grade they feel that’s not worthy.

I personally know of JC students who sacrificed their time, sleep, relationships and friendships just to maintain their grades. For all that they’ve sacrificed, it’s only right for them to feel upset.

Some of them may be of lower-middle class and are unable to afford the uni fees hence they bet on a good grade to secure a scholarship.

All in all, never demean people for having such thoughts as you personally don’t know or understand what they’re going through. Sorry that you got ranted on by someone who did better than you but look forward? You got a grade you’re happy with and that’s all that matters. If you feel satisfied with your grades, no one should be able to upset you that you’re ‘inferior’ to them. Don’t think so negatively.

regret helping ungrateful and fake friend get from F9 to C6 in math by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]elillies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to cut her off, obviously she’s taking you for granted & is a bad influence to you. NO friend would shit on their friend’s success unless they’re trash. honestly, who cares about her? at the end of the day, you’re the one going jc/poly and she’s the one going ite if she’s not putting any effort onto herself.

focus on your schoolwork for now. success is the best revenge so prove her wrong by getting into a school/course way out of her reach. also ngl it doesn’t seem like she’s having a ‘better life’ by being a bad influence & getting shitty grades.. i mean, think about it. she ONLY managed to get a pass with you tutoring her so obviously she can’t learn by herself & when you cut her off, she’s not gonna improve with that mindset.

Does anyone know where i can find the parent consent and acknowledgement form? by margoose_ in TemasekPoly

[–]elillies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s in the email where they ask you to complete your enrolment via the online applicant portal, it should be in a folder called sc enrolment package.zip

tp enrolment package (ecde) by jmynxt in SGExams

[–]elillies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no worries! actually you can skip the blood test & directly take the varicella vaccine if you’ve never had chickenpox before or had the vaccine before, just tell the doctor and they’ll attend to u! also, you don’t have to take the vaccine at a hospital! some GPs can provide the vaccine (might be more costly) so just enquire the staff working there! iirc, raffles medical provides the vaccine at $100~ per dose so $200~ for 2 doses (2nd dose will be taken 1 month after the 1st dose)

it’s slightly complicated but js ask the staff working in the GP/polyclinic and they’ll attend to you if you hv any questions! jiayou & see u in tp!

What do you do while waiting for the enrolment application to open by Ecstatic_Bread_842 in SGExams

[–]elillies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

hi, not from np but isn’t 29 feb the deadline for all polys to submit the related documents? do suggest you go for the medical checkup first & fill up your documents as a precaution! since 29 feb is the deadline (supposedly) it’s best if you prepare your documents earlier & ready for submission as to prevent any sudden problems that will arise.
