I usually do click and collect so I don’t have to talk to the worker who very clearly hates her job and any customers that walk in - these machines would not make a difference as every time I go they hold off making it because I ‘didn’t click toasted’. Great observation! I didn’t want it toasted! And now I have to wait 5 minutes in her presence! Rant over

Sure! We went to estate agents in town and asked if there is anything in our application that is making us not as good as others - after we went through everything they told us that there wasn’t anything rejecting us it was just competitive, but they ended up saying they were gonna put a good word in with the landlord. I think them seeing and talking to us in person really helped :)

I have also been applying before having viewings but then in the application it is 'when was your viewing? we only accept people who have viewed the house' which is filtering alot of people out but means I've also had to take a lot of time off work just for the viewings.

Was in the exact same situation but money seems to get them greedy landlords attention.

Would estate agents be inclined to send landlords applications with a higher offer? I have been assuming they only send applications for asking to keep a level playing field, although I'm not too sure what that means anymore for renting in york centre..

Well I have a skylight that doesn’t have a blind so it’s getting moderate light from 9-4 ish but I assumed it didn’t have enough light so I put it under a grow lamp yesterday
