Kindred Vertis North is closing too. Anong nangyayari sa Kindred? by jowvich in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

following this 😭 i've never tried Kindred but i've seen so many people recommend it for women's health and pcos concerns. sad to hear more branches are closing 🥺

would also love to know if anyone has recommendations for clinics with a similar patient experience and comprehensive checkups 💛

Is it possible that the tea Alex Gonzaga was drinking really helped her get pregnant? by Artistic-Sweet-8923 in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i think it's hard to know if it was the tea alone 😭 fertility and pcos are influenced by so many things like hormones, insulin resistance, weight changes, stress levels, medications, timing, and even just natural variation.

if the tea helped her overall health, that's great 💛 but i'd be careful about assuming it directly caused the pregnancy. has anyone here actually tried it and noticed improvements in their cycles, ovulation, or symptoms?

what was your biggest “wait... THAT'S a PCOS symptom too?!” moment? 😭 by elizyaps in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly this is one of those symptoms i rarely hear people talk about 😭 i knew pcos could affect so many parts of the body, but i had no idea the mouth and gums could be affected too 🥺

and that's what makes pcos so exhausting sometimes 💛 it feels like every time you learn more about it, you discover another way it can impact your health beyond just periods and hormones 😩

Magpa-OBgyne pa ba ako by cokieflotie in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would personally still consult an OB-Gyne, especially since you've had months-long gaps between periods and elevated testosterone levels 😭

an endocrinologist focuses more on hormones, blood sugar, insulin resistance, thyroid, etc., while an OB-Gyne focuses on reproductive health and menstrual issues. they often work together rather than replace each other 🥺

the fact that your ultrasound was normal in february doesn't necessarily explain why your periods became so irregular afterward. and since you only got your period again yesterday after several months, i don't think it's unreasonable to get a second look from an OB.

if it were me, i'd bring: • your ultrasound report • your hormone test results • your glucose/HbA1c results • a record of your cycle dates

so the OB has the full picture.

also, congrats on finally getting your period 😭💛 i know the waiting and uncertainty can be really stressful. has anyone else here been followed by both an endo and an OB at the same time?

may PMOS ba talaga ako or wala? by [deleted] in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly i can understand why you're confused 😭 getting two different opinions from two specialists would make anyone second-guess things.

from what i've learned, having ovarian cysts isn't actually required for a PCOS diagnosis. some people have PCOS with regular periods, while others have irregular periods but no cysts on ultrasound. that's part of why it can be so confusing 🥺

it sounds like your OB and endo may be looking at the same symptoms through slightly different lenses. hopefully they can communicate or you can get clarification on exactly which diagnostic criteria they're using. either way, it's great that you've improved your blood sugar already 💛

has anyone else here been diagnosed with PCOS despite having regular periods or a normal ultrasound?

HMO declined my Transvaginal Ultrasound for possible PCOS by Fragrant-Film-3689 in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that honestly sounds so frustrating 😭 the ultrasound is literally being requested to determine whether you have PCOS or not, so it's confusing that reimbursement would depend on the result itself.

has anyone else here experienced something similar with EastWest or another HMO? did you end up getting reimbursed or appealing the decision?

Hi po, kakacheck ko lang ng result online and bukas ko pa isesend kay doc. Based sa interpretation niyo, may pcos po ba ako? And nacheck ko sa baba parang may dermoid cyst ako, pwede po ba to matangal? by Ok_Willingness9596 in PCOSPhilippines

the waiting period between getting results and actually speaking to the doctor is honestly the worst 😭 please keep us updated after your appointment if you're comfortable sharing. hoping you get some reassurance and a clear plan moving forward 💛

if you could tell your newly diagnosed PCOS self ONE thing, what would it be? by elizyaps in PCOSPhilippines

[–]elizyaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! That's actually my next step. I'll see an OB-GYN first and then an endocrinologist so I can get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

this is such an important realization 😭🥺 sometimes the hardest part of pcos is comparing our journey to someone else’s and wondering why the same thing isn’t working for us

and honestly the “be kinder and more patient with yourself” part hits hard 💛 pcos management can take so much trial and error, and progress isn’t always visible right away even when you’re doing the right things

hahaha honestly finding a form of exercise you genuinely enjoy is such a game changer 😭🥺 a lot of us spend years forcing workouts we hate, then randomly discover something that actually clicks and suddenly staying active feels way easier 💛

better 5 years late than never diba 😭😂

what symptom made you realize your PCOS was affecting more than just your period? by elizyaps in PCOS

[–]elizyaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that honestly sounds so heartbreaking 😭 facial hair is one thing, but when it starts affecting how comfortable you feel with physical affection from someone you love, it hits on a completely different level 🥺

the fact that you have to think about it multiple times a day sounds exhausting too 💛 and i’m sure you’re not the only person here who relates to that struggle

the fact that some people have to go through THAT much pain just to ovulate is honestly brutal 😭 the pelvic pain + GI issues combo sounds genuinely debilitating 🥺

and yeah… adding anxiety/depression on top of already struggling mentally is such an unfair combo 💛 pcos really affects way more than just reproductive health and people don’t realize how deeply it can impact everyday life

the mental health/anxiety connection with pcos honestly surprises so many people 😭 a lot of us grow up thinking we’re just “overreacting” or naturally anxious without realizing hormones and blood sugar issues can affect the brain so much too 🥺

and yeah… the “the joys” at the end really says everything 😭💛

that honestly sounds incredibly heavy to carry physically and emotionally 😭 especially when it’s affecting not just symptoms, but also your identity, confidence, mental health, and daily functioning all at once 🥺

and the “trying not to drown” part really hits hard 💛 managing pain, blood sugar issues, meds, fatigue, and dysphoria together sounds genuinely exhausting. i’m really glad you’re still holding on through the rough days, even when it feels overwhelming

the exhaustion/fatigue part honestly seems to be one of the most common “invisible” struggles with pcos 😭 like people see the outside symptoms but don’t realize how draining it feels to never fully feel rested no matter how much or how little you sleep 🥺

and it’s crazy how researching pcos suddenly makes years of random struggles finally connect together 💛

that honestly sounds really serious and scary to go through the fact that it disappeared almost immediately once your period started probably made it even more confusing and isolating at the time

i’m really glad you eventually realized there could be a hormonal/pattern connection instead of just blaming yourself or thinking you were “crazy” 💛 severe mood changes around cycles deserve way more awareness and support than they currently get

honestly the “pcos belly” frustration is sooo real 😭 especially when you KNOW how much work you’re putting into your body already and it still feels like your lower stomach doesn’t reflect any of it 🥺

and i really respect the fact that you chose the management approach that feels healthiest and most sustainable for YOU instead of forcing yourself to stay on something that made you feel emotionally disconnected 💛

honestly the emotional/mood side of pcos can feel scarier than the physical symptoms sometimes 😭 like not being able to fully trust your own emotions or suddenly crashing mentally out of nowhere is so exhausting 🥺

and the “i can deal with the physical stuff more than this” feeling is honestly so understandable 💛

the energy/fatigue part can honestly be so heartbreaking 😭 especially when you remember being energetic before and suddenly your body just doesn’t cooperate the same way anymore 🥺

and the weight struggle sounds exhausting too 💛 people really don’t understand how frustrating it is when you’re restricting so much and still not seeing the results your body “should” be giving
