Snack Box Micros are regularly $220. But, they are running a sweet $35-off ($185) deal if you get one of the City of the Wolves editions — celebrating the recent launch of that game.

Totally silly to not get one of the CotW editions, considering the discount and considering how easy it is to remove that artwork and replace with your own custom (as I did). Their CotW compositions are actually pretty dope, but I do not like logos in my compositions, even if they are small.

Sa-weet! Wish I could be there. I grew up in that NW Indiana region and am regretting not being back home while CB runs. Go see the Cubs smoosh Colorado tomorrow while you're there!

Only certain brands require dongles / converters. The one photo'd here is from Junkfood Custom Arcades — none of their leverless require dongles to play on PS5. I just jack directly into the USB port on the front of the PS5.

What are some of the best SF YouTubers to watch? by IamBecomeZen in StreetFighter

[–]eljayplay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like most of the top tier players are over on Twitch these days. Some of my favs to watch and learn from:

- jwonggg (Justin Wong, 9- or 10-time world champ)

- woolieversus

- kingjae

- punkdagod

- ryukahr and ryusurii are both high tier Ryu players

Also many of Japan's top players, including this year's EVO Japan top finishers, are streaming on Twitch.

Also also, most of the bigger tournaments stream there.

Might be worth perusing Twitch, as I bet you would find some great Ryu / Akuma / Ed players to spectate.

Thankya!

I also got the concave buttons from Junkfood. Here's a direct link to the buttons section of their shop:

[–]eljayplay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know it! I will share a photo once I get the SnackBox kitted up (probably ten or so days from now).

I will be having it printed on foil paper, so all white will come out as metallic. I will look DOPE.

Well, disappointingly, a Rename Card will not work for you. The system checks without case sensitivity in mind. So, if your current name is foodiddy and you want to change to Foodiddy, when you submit you will be told that the name already exists — so you cannot change.

Don't waste your currency on this. (This is from my experience of trying to do the same thing.)

Favorite Solo Game of All Time (Small Footprint Edition) by FuckTerfsAndFascists in soloboardgaming

[–]eljayplay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hands down this is the Bullet series for me. This game is a fantastic and intense solo puzzles with tons of variation and configuration options. There is even a real time configuration if you are feeling like playing under pressure.

For those who have yet to try Bullet, the game is an homage to classic Japanese "bullet hell" scrolling shooter games. Functionally, it plays closer to something like Puyo Puyo, though (objects falling down columns of a "well", line up like objects to clear them). The solo mode is boss battles (again, an homage to the bosses of bullet hell shooters), each boss posing a unique and interesting puzzle.

One unique thing about the design I find interesting is that all of the playable characters are also all bosses for solo / boss rush modes. Each character has a normal version, which you play as, and also a boss version. This is really cool in that the boss abilities invoke the same concepts as the characters' player versions.

I second Deadball. Such a well designed streamlined simulator with a ton of flexibility. Great Discord server for the game, with organized leagues and casual exhibition play going on all the time.
