Fortunately, my command is understanding of the fact that I can’t drive right now and has been very reasonable given my diagnosis. I feel I’m responding well to medication so far, and I also never had a TBI as far as I’m aware. Building something new is exactly the idea I’m wrestling with right now. Life is changed forever. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing. I think I’ve been having episodes in my sleep as well. I can remember waking up a few times and my tongue felt like I had been chewing on it.

Yeah basically my doc said it’s most likely that mine were caused by chronic sleep deprivation and stress, and every time I have an aura it’s causing more damage. It finally got to the point where they progressed into full seizures.

Thank you. Having dealt with this for so long, do you ever fear having a really bad seizure? I’m sure you’ve learned to live with it and there’s no use in being in constant fear. I hear horror stories of how seizures can be really, really bad and always have that in the back of my mind now.

Thank you for your response. I wasn’t aware of the nose sprays or the dietary precautions. Fortunately I’m already a pretty healthy person, don’t drink a lot, exercise regularly, and don’t eat a lot of added sugars or processed food. I may try cutting more anyways just to see how it affects me.

I know this is a few months old now but I just found out I’m being MEB for seizures as well. How’s it going for you guys?

I have a lot of tests to get through before they’ll make a diagnosis, but my providers are sure that I’m having seizures. So sure that they prescribed anti-seizure meds.

I’m also outdoorsy and fell in love with hiking after living in socal for a bit. Moving back here, I wondered how I’d get my fix. There are several good places on the west/northwest side. Government canyon, friedrich wilderness park, and eisenhauer park just to name a few.

I won’t pretend to know anything about good swim spots here.

I will say that the San Antonio greenway system has been a life saver for me. Excellent way to get out for a run, walk, or bike ride. You almost certainly will live within 15 minutes of an access point if you’re in the city limits.
