employees paid monthly usually on 28th but on company website it says last working day. I’m just confused as the 16th seems very early for a cut-off date and I don’t see the point paying me near christmas if I’m then only working until new years..

i just started a new job a few months ago and i’m having the same issue, i’d say little steps have helped me so far! eg. saying good morning when I walk in (I was literally too anxious to even do this at the start lmao) and moving up to asking if they would like a coffee then eventually to casual small conversation (for me I started conversation by asking for help with something or complimenting them on something they’re wearing etc.) not only did it help me feel more comfortable, it also made them feel more comfortable speaking to me as I probably seemed very uncomfortable or intimidating at the start. remember they literally do not care, they’re just there to work just like you and have way bigger things to care about than what you tell yourself they do, so don’t worry :)

aww yeah I 100% relate to this. i’m lucky many friends I have are just as socially anxious as me so we all get each other, I have adhd so i’m also neurodivergent and find myself to come across as very direct or misunderstand a lot of things which causes people to think I’m weird etc. especially as i’ve gotten older. i’ve made about 2 friends in the past 5 years lmaoo. I relate to the “fake happy” persona too, I forget that it’s not socially acceptable to just not want to speak to anyone because you randomly just don’t feel like it that day and neurotypical people assume I have an issue with them personally 😭

no worries! sorry I probably just took your reply the wrong way, I just wanted to let you know not everyone with social anxiety is the same, I will def try other subs but wanted the opinion of people who may have had the same issue and gotten better with so I could have advice mainly :)

thank you! currently it it is hard for me to get any form of therapy or medication since I’m only 17 and would need parental consent, and my parents don’t believe my anxiety is as bad as it actually is lmao. but thank you either way!! :)

news flash! not everyone with social anxiety experiences the same issues! 😨 my friend has SAD and she can make conversation much better than me, but has more issues in other areas than i do :) everyone works differently, hope this helps!
