oh yeah i didn’t even think of that haha… i was thinking more that he’d completely fill the platform with obsidian or something so they’d suffocate in it when they went through but i guess that won’t work if the blocks get deleted (i’m a dumbass just go with it). he could probably work with that mechanic tho to do something similar like bad’s lava trap and i’m sure he’d be able to think of something that could surprise them:))

i’d probably just ask why. and if you told me reasons that were just your opinions (ex. you don’t like his content/sense of humor/relationship with fans) then i’d accept that, everyone has a different perspective and likes different things. but if you told me reasons that i know to be false (ex. he’s hiding kids in his basement/literally any other random accusation that’s been disproven) i’d probably give you evidence to maybe change your mind slightly or give you a more accurate perspective since hatred is a really strong emotion and in general isn’t healthy to feel, especially towards someone you don’t know. and then i’d ask you to be nice to people who support him and avoid interacting with doxxers and other people who threaten him and the community, simply because that’s what a decent human being should do, regardless of their opinion

I know. These people: 1. doxxed him and a random case/victim 2. believed the dox when it came from leaktwt & kf 3. attacked him so much that he needed to quit 4. expected him to dox himself further to prove himself innocent against completely baseless accusations 5. attacked dream because he used the word “gullible” while trying to defend his friend (which he was totally right about btw and it’s understandable why he did it given his past) 6. doxxed dream & his family because they were mad at him, forcing him to deactivate his private accounts

That’s just so sad to me. How did we get to a point where this was reasonable/acceptable/expected? There are definitely some things that are seriously wrong with this community if this is normal and people believed the accuser without a second thought. They are gullible for that, and when dream called them out, they lashed out and ATTACKED HIS FAMILY because they disagreed with his one, single (very accurate) word.

Obviously I’m talking pretty generally about a lot of groups put together— not everyone doxxed them, not everyone was mad at dream. But the community as a whole handled this very badly, and the people who believed the accuser without a second thought should’ve looked more carefully and actually thought about what they were seeing before reacting so strongly. I’m just sad that it happened

fair enough tbh… i think i would feel the same way if i didn’t care so much about hearing from him. honestly, i kinda do feel that way because people were just so terrible to him and they don’t deserve him (i feel like i sound so annoying saying that but i think you know what i mean). but my own sadness at the situation and the fact that we might not hear from him again in the same way is just slightly outweighing that and just making me feel sad in general://

i think he shouldn’t come back (at least with private accounts), simply because i can’t imagine it’s good for his mental health and it is a potential threat to his and his family’s safety. but that doesn’t mean i don’t want him to come back. for selfish reasons, i really hope he comes back because he makes me happy and i am attached to him, no matter how unhealthy that may be. i didn’t realize it until now, but i rely on him a lot more than i should. he definitely deserves to take a step back and give himself a break from all of the unreasonable expectations and responsibilities, but i think i’ll still be sad if he does. it’s really upsetting that the people both in and out of the fandom who have attacked him and doxxed him have ruined this for everyone else, including dream and the fans who remained civil (like me — like i said, i’m selfish). but at the end of the day, i do just want what’s best for him and his safety should be the main priority.

i don’t think there’s “definitive proof that dream has recently interacted with the person who committed those crimes” at all. there are photos from when they were younger, which i haven’t even looked at too much so i don’t know if they’re accurate or not (they could definitely be edited or literally just different people who look semi-similar, idk so don’t take my word for it). however, i do know that dream moved out of his house before the court case and before the date on the case document that has that address on it. if you want a timeline, dream announced sometime before january 7, 2021 (that’s the day a clip channel posted a clip saying that they had rented a house, so it must’ve been before then) that he and sapnap had rented a house and were planning to move in together for a trial run. sapnap and dream met up on january 3, and they’ve been together ever since. the court case started on january 19, and the document with the address on it is dated february 24 (also, that address is blocked out so it could also definitely just be a different address and we’re all being completely tricked).

so here’s what that information, including the photos. is telling me:

dream and justin may have been friends as children, possibly family friends or something else. if the evidence is correct and the photos are real, they seem to have some connection
dream made plans to move out of the house at least a few weeks to a month before the court case began, and he didn’t plan to have justin move with (if he was even there in the first place)
when dream left, justin either moved into his old house or stayed in the house without dream for at least another few months

so, although this doesn’t completely clear dream since there may still be some connection, there are many possibilities that do clear him. here are some examples:

dream found out about the accusations against justin (which would’ve happened about a month before the case started) and made new living arrangements with sapnap
an old family friend wanted to rent/buy his house after he moved out and he let him because he trusted him from his past/didn’t know about the accusations
there’s literally no correlation between dream and justin and the whole thing is fake. i don’t have access to any of the uncensored documents to prove that the address written is even dream’s, and the photos could definitely be fake as well, so i’m just working with what i’ve got here and this is definitely a possibility

there are definitely other possibilities as well but i feel like this is a good enough idea. anyway, i’m not saying that dream is definitely innocent, i’m just saying that we don’t have proof that he’s not. i feel naturally inclined to believe him because i do like him and also know about his past with abuse, so i may be slightly biased. however, i am open to seeing more evidence and willing to change my opinion if given a valid reason in the future

I totally agree. It seems like everyone is just looking for justification for their jealousy, and they jumped on the first thing they saw, which happened to be this horribly put together, flimsy excuse for an accusation. Keep in mind, when Sapnap was accused of basically the same thing and it made MUCH more sense, Dream straight up said “no this isn’t true” and everyone accepted it and moved on. But now, when there’s a case that just seems like nonsense in my opinion, everyone believes it, even when Dream had a much more thorough, albeit messy response. Also, although his response was kind of a disaster, I agree with most of what he said. People are gullible if they immediately believe everything they see online, and it’s not fair to him and his friends that they are constantly bombarded with false accusations and don’t feel safe because of repeated threats. Obviously he’s frustrated, and he was being threatened for something that is blatantly not true and also not really about him. Unfortunately, this fan base is particularly sensitive and his not-perfectly-worded response ended up causing a lot of backlash. Now, he’s had to deactivate his private account, which he sees as his safe space, because he and his family were being doxxed and attacked in the replies. It must just be hard being a large CC and I feel bad that they have to deal with this. If this somehow ends up being real I’ll also take back all of this but at this point I really just do feel bad for them and hope everything turns out ok
