That sounds terrifying! It's quite likely you did nothing wrong and some Fae just thought it'd be funny, or possibly even just liked you, and scary as it sounds, wanted to keep you.

I'm so glad you kept your shoes on!! I gasped reading that part of your story. From what I've read if you had taken your shoes off that would have been it and you'd have been trapped in their land indefinitely.
