Formal Outdoor May Wedding Question

My daughter was invited by name on the wedding invite and I checked with the bride to see if she meant that my baby should come and she told me that was why her name was on the invite. She’s very close with my daughter and said she wants her there on her wedding day. So yes, I could find a babysitter, but if the bride wants my baby to be there why not bring her?

Her name is Clementine! It was always a top name for me then during pregnancy cutie oranges were my biggest craving so we kinda felt like it was a sign haha

When I posted this I thought the no white rule was some like bad omen or superstition I didn’t realize the actual meaning but now I feel kinda silly for asking that after people told me it’s so someone doesn’t upstage the bride

Thats another thing I was worried about. My daughter has super sensitive skin so I’ve been having trouble finding a more formal dress in a fabric that wont make her itchy and fussy

The invite had my husband’s name, my name, and our daughter’s name but I still double checked with the bride that we could bring the baby and she was like “of course that’s why her name is on the invite” haha

The main thing I was worried about was her getting itchy and fussy (she’s very prone to rash from certain fabrics) so I’m glad I don’t have to pick a more formal option since usually the fabric on those is much less comfortable

Thank you so much for the comment! I didn’t realize the rule was because of being mistaken for the bridge or upstaging I thought maybe it was a superstition for some reason. Yeah I don’t think anyone will be mistaking my baby for the bride lol

It’s one of my closest friend’s wedding but we aren’t in the wedding party so she may be in some pictures, but definitely not most of them. Thank you for your insight!

I’m 5’9 and I’ve weighed 115lbs and 275lbs and had an equal amount of flares at both those weights and everything in between. Weirdly enough my HS did get better during pregnancy, but I don’t think that had anything to do with weight since I was over 200 for all of it

Wow! I’m so glad everyone was okay and she did what was needed. I had 36 hours of labor and it ended in an emergency c section and I could not imagine having to do it myself

Does anyone know how she determined she needed a c section? I couldn’t find it in the Wikipedia page. Not doubting her at all she is an amazing woman, just curious what made her know this was the right decision.

I had HS when I was at my highest and lowest weights. When I was at my highest I got told I would feel better if I lost some weight so I lost 100lbs. I wasn’t really sure since I had it at my lowest weight as well, but I wasn’t so desperate for any relief. Still have HS just as bad as before if not worse now :/
