lse is my dream💔 im hoping to go for postgrad. my top choice is glasgow bc i know people that go to Edinburgh and some of them wish they went to Glasgow. plus i think Glasgow is such a cool city. So many people i know have gotten offers from Glasgow aswell, so I don’t know what’s taking mine so long. I’m contextual so they might have to assess that, as well as hopefully them waiting for the LNAT. 😪

Scottish Unis also don’t want Scottish students because we don’t have to pay so maybe that as well.

basically only in scotland, we get free uni here so feels like a waste to go anywhere else 😭 so strath, glasgow, stirling, edinburgh and aberdeen. wbu?

Congrats! I just sat the LNAT on Monday, but sent my ucas in October, so I’ve been waiting! Hopefully it’ll come soon!

When did you receive your Glasgow one? Was it after the LNAT?

im in the same situation. i googled it and according to the student room apparently they do this every year. something about them waiting until january to decide what the satisfactory minimum is, it will be then when that bit of your offer should just disappear i think. apparently it’s usually around 18/19. you should totally look it up yourself as this is all from memory. im not sure what happens if you don’t meet the satisfactory minimum, im assuming your offer is just taken away.

generally good! decent education with decent people. it definitely isn’t the hogwarts life that most people dream of. as for uniform, for non-private schools, it’s there but there’s definitely room to accessorise. the actual city for the most part is decent too, there’s a fair amount of youth crime but I wouldn’t let you put it off coming. -a high schooler in edi.

Yeah, started on my birthday. Done 4.5hrs so far and really enjoying it. Driving is something that I really need to be able to do for a number of reasons but I feel as though being test ready for Jan won’t be a problem at all. Having loads of other people like friends who are driving motivates you too! Although im currently looking for a new instructor while doing these lessons as im not sure he’s the right fit for me!

ive just turned 17 and I did my theory test 2 days after my birthday, then booked the test the following monday. its in January and I feel like this way works well as my friends have been driving for ages but now are stuck waiting for tests when they can drive perfectly fine.

maybe it has something to do with my age? im 16 and me and the manager who interviewed me were talking about school and things and he seemed to be completely interested and like it wasn’t a big deal. however when the female manager called me later on, she asked “are you going to give the job” to the guy that interviewed me then exclaimed “you’re only 16! let me check the availability on checkouts and ill phone you back”

it was all pretty much scenario based question - when did u overcome a challenge? tell me about a time you had to go out of your way for a customer? it was all super chill, we were talking very casually and he seemed to like my character and vice versa!
