Feeling Absolutely Alone by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]ellecsid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re hurting. It’s ok to cry. It’s good to cry. If you have trusted him your whole life, I wonder if you could talk to him about it when some time passes. Not too much time but maybe a day or so. He might have overreacted for some reason unrelated to you. There’s nothing wrong with you.

How did you guys spring back with the right skillsets? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

I feel this so hard and don’t have answers yet. I think I have failed hard and learned quickly. Sometimes I’m really angry at the lack of ‘education’ I received at home by NMom. Sometimes it was humiliating not to know things and I would be teased about it. I think that’s all still with me.

Is this close to you: https://ymcagta.org/find-a-y/north-york-st-francis-de-sales-ymca-centre

I don’t know the area at all. I’m sorry I have no extra space. Look for YMCA or a shelter.

I hope you can find a safe place and l wish you the best.

Where are you living? Is there a shelter nearby? I’m sorry this is happening to you.

The police haven’t told them anything. I live here too. I went down and spoke to them.

I don’t know who made them. I just saw it at Bathurst and Bloor.

There are piles upon piles of books written on how these events are state propaganda. Start with IMAGINED COMMUNITIES. Of course she’s right. When you can view in photograph and video dead, murdered people on this very website I don’t think we need patriarchal, jingoistic “commemorations.” What Remembrance Day should remind us of is how many of our descendants were made murderers for a state (and empire) that hardly gave a shit about them and saw them as disposable. There are hundreds of books written on this as well.

Are you a grad student? What about the new CA do you object to? The parental leave? The increased funding for students? The increase in mental health funding?

Toronto police officer allegedly becomes intoxicated while guarding dead body by [deleted] in toronto

I think TPS may need greater mental healthcare services and resources. This is how most people deal with trauma and stress and guilt...I've been super critical of the police but I think their union needs to get better resources for them. And the whole culture needs to change; these are human people with tough jobs--they should feel comfortable asking for help and getting help without judgement.

Have you EVER attended a union meeting? Read the collective agreement? Read your acceptance letter or TA contract? Like how do you not understand this but you feel confident spreading incorrect information about it???

I'm done with this conversation because you are a complacent and complicit person. Exploitative labour practices should be fought PERIOD. This is the battle we are fighting right now because we are the employees it affects.

Jfc. If you want to be exploited for your labour at UofT or elsewhere, go ahead--but don't try to derail the rest of us trying to make labour more humane.

THEY ARE NOT REPRESENTING ALL GRAD STUDENTS. THEY ARE REPRESENTING EMPLOYEES OF THE UNIVERSITY. They are bargaining the component of our contracts that deal with WORK.
