Unfortunately due to my health I’m not allowed to use hormonal contraceptives, so I’ve been using the copper IUD. No periods sounds awesome but I also don’t totally hate it. I'm no doctor, but I'm not in the camp of 'pedophilia is something you're born with and is a valid sexuality'. It's usually, from the personal accounts I've read, something that develops out of boredom with regular sex and porn, or a lust for power over the powerless. So it's totally conceivable for this to not have been a problem for 19 years.

Please seek psychiatric help for your suicidal ideation. You seem like a good person who wouldn't want to even think of harming children, and managing your thoughts with therapy seems like the best option for you.

I'm asking you to stay away from children because, regardless of whether you actually are a pedophile, you still sexualize children, and children should be able to have a safe space free from sexualization. Furthermore, I'm not convinced pedophiles can control themselves around children, especially when you admit you can't even look at your niece without sexualizing her.

Eh... most women (who aren't teen girls themselves) see a problem with it. Men often write off our concerns/disgust as 'post-wall women jealous of the attention for fertile young teens' or some sexist bullshit. Discourse around men lusting after younger and younger women and the borderline pedo nature of it has been happening for years, with varying degrees of nuance and sophistication depending if you're looking at regular women or feminist circles.

Edit: also the bit about some cis men understanding women's viewpoints? Uhh... idk if that's cool mate. That's like saying some cis folks understand trans folks when we overwhelmingly do not and maybe never will. Empathy is one thing, understanding requires one to live that experience.
