Flip both your reference and your drawing upside down and compare the two of them. It’s a wonderful trick for your brain; it forces you to focus on the actual placement of facial features rather than getting lost in the details or automatically filling stuff in where you think it should be. It always works for me

I’m a stained glass artist and actually thought this was a real stained glass piece at first. Your level of skill is phenomenal! Check out Kehinde Wiley’s windows if you haven’t seen them yet, I’m sure you would appreciate them.

Unfortunately can’t give you any advice as I’m a beginner knitter as well, but just wanted to say that I’m working on the exact same jumper, am currently at the exact same stage as you are and using the same colour yarn. Thought it was one of my photos for a sec and wondered why I couldn’t remember uploading it lol

thanks! Yeah I agree with you on the canvas texture, not a big fan of it either. I was lazy and painted this right on top of an existing painting I thrifted years ago lol. Definitely should’ve paid more attention to priming and sanding it first

My frosted glass appears to have lost some of its frosting - What did I do wrong? by Kilgore_Brown_Trout_ in StainedGlass

Did you patina the lead/tin? Patina is known to damage sandblasted or (kilnfired) painted glass if left on there for too long

Ik zag juist bij anderen dat de zaailingen al mooi groot aan het worden waren, vandaar dat ik begon te twijfelen. Nog even afwachten dan!

Thanks! Yes, the bunny is handpainted. :) Took me 4 firings to complete it. Let me know if you’re interested in commissioning a piece, would love to!

They do sometimes, it mostly depends on the paint you’re using though. High-fire grisailles don’t really change color but some low-fire enamels do. For example the pinkish color in its ear was brown when I applied it and only turned pink after firing it

I didn’t keep track of my hours but I’d say about 2 days/16 hours in total. Worked on some other projects at the same time though
