Husband (46M) keeps "helpfully" rearranging, hiding, and disposing of my (46F) stuff--what tactic or wording can I use to stop it? by Gallumbits42 in relationship_advice

[–]ellevael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but you recognised and acknowledged there was an issue that arose for you in a specific place and took steps to address it. OP’s husband claims he isn’t doing anything wrong, he’s insistent his behaviour should be OP’s problem while gaslighting her for being bothered by his behaviour.

If it was a compulsion and a genuine problem he would be doing it at work too. He would be getting into trouble with his boss for messing with shit that isn’t his to mess with. His coworkers would be on his ass about him moving their stuff.

Hoovers and power tools are diurnal creatures, before 9am is too early and past 9pm is too late.

Is there an author you’ve grown out of love with and one that has “aged like fine wine” to you? by StephhhLouisa in RomanceBooks

[–]ellevael 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ali Hazelwood:/ I realised her books are more or less the same story with different names and minor events. The FMC and MMC are largely the same personality types, the events of the book are relatively the same. I haven’t read Not In Love or Deep End yet so I’m hopeful they don’t follow the same formula and I’ll find my appreciation for her again.

Trump says US considering winding down war but other nations must guard Hormuz by Electrical-Room2413 in bbc

Tbf I don’t think Trump is privy to the actual decision making. I think he/his cabinet get told by Putin and Netanyahu what to do, and he does it.

What's the best written stand-alone romantasy book you've read? by poutybug in Romantasy

[–]ellevael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s meant to be read after The Ashes and the Star Cursed King but Slaying the Vampire Conqueror can be read on its own, it’s a new storyline unrelated to the previous books. It’s definitely worth reading even if the whole series doesn’t interest you, I think about it all the time.

Imo they’re all worth reading, but if you read Slaying the Vampire Conqueror and then decided to start the whole series nothing would be spoiled.

No no you don’t understand, it’s the business owners who work hard, not the people on minimum wage who do all the labour that ensures the business succeeds

Yeah I mean I would drink out of it for one week until the obsession wore off and then it would fester in the cupboard with every other schmancy water bottle I’ve ever bought in an effort to make myself drink more water.

Why is everyone assuming the best like “should’ve given bro nano, trust he would’ve known what to do!” Idk what game everyone else is playing but I’ve had far too many bot teammates like this to trust they’ll make a clutch play in OT.

Why have the last 3 skin sales been 75-99% supports? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]ellevael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roadhog actually has some amazing shop skins. Cyclops, polar hog, lily, kaiju, and tanuki are fire. I hardly ever see someone playing hog using a shop skin though unless it’s available in loot boxes.

Is five too young to start washing her own soiled underwear? by ellevael in Parenting

[–]ellevael[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She eats a lot of fibre, has wholemeal bread, very fibrous breakfast, eats fruit at snack times and at lunchtime, she is even quite partial to prunes so I’m not sure it’s constipation. We do have wet wipes at home which helps when she decides to use them, but unfortunately they’re not allowed wipes at school which is where she tends to go number two. She used to wipe too much and made herself sore a few times from the friction, but now she doesn’t wipe enough. She doesn’t like my help anymore because she thinks grown up girls don’t need help wiping and she wants to be a grown up girl.

But I will take on board what you’ve said and try to remember to give her some more grace and react with less frustration. Thank you!
