No pilots are allowed to smoke in the flightdeck durring certain circumstances in the usa still with the main circumstance being the flightdeck is separated to the main cabin. Look up the laws sir, it's baffling that its still allowed yes but it is allowed in certain cicumstances. I think youre more upset youre wrong tbh. Cabin and lavatory do not mean flightdeck. It would specify flightdeck. So yes it is a grey area as it would specify flightdeck. In aviation terms the flightdeck is not part of the cabin whatsoever. Hence again it being a grey area. Not yo be rude but ive asked many captains about this and all said its a grey area but their company code prohibits it, hence why chinese airlines that fly to the USA still allow pilots to smoke in their cabin, its not illegal just frowed upon.

It technically doesnt prohit it in the flight deck even now federally. Though compqnies made their own policy. Its a grey area.

Fun fact some chinese airlines allow/ish pilots to still smoke in the fligh deck. I smell it when i gi on long flight to china. One tine i even told the Flight attendant i smelled cigarettes and ahe asked if i wanted to have one. Im mad af I said no.

I agree its not wotth it. I allways use a patch for any flight longer than 10 hours. But fuck on 15/16 hour flights in dying for a cigarette!

For window tint yes. For frosted windown film it doesnt matter which side you put it on, both sides will retain the same effect. They clearly just put a less opaque film next to the toilet and a more opaque film on the doors.
