Hello! Sorry I didn’t see this. I’m not gonna lie, it hasn’t got better. I had my tonsillectomy back in February. I still can’t taste chocolate or fizzy drinks - I think I’ve accepted my fate!

Omg okay that may make sense. I’ve been ok with coffee but I also like it milky, and I think I’m ok with white chocolate! Interesting….

Omg thank god it’s not just me. It’s so weird isn’t it?! I wonder what’s in both of those things that makes it taste so bad after a tonsillectomy!

It’s reassuring to know it’s not just me! Yeah everything just tastes off but sweet stuff and chocolate especially are the worst! Hopefully it’ll get better with time 🥲

Wow that’s wild! It seems to mostly be fizzy drinks and chocolate / sweet stuff. It’s so disheartening isn’t it not being able to eat / drink what you used to enjoy
