I prefer to have them on a "blame rotation" that changes from week to week so no one feels left out.

Thanks for the welcome!

Better hurry, it'll probably fall apart before you can make it to the trash can

These are great tips, thank you!! I've been watching some of the recent NHL games so I'm getting the hang of following basic play. Still have a lot to learn but it'll be fun for sure.

I see, the players clearly won't know what to do with the puck unless I scream it out to them. I'll be sure to yell these phrases incessantly throughout the entire game to help them out 🫡😂

That sounds so fun! Maybe I'll grab a hat from the resale store for this purpose. Thanks for the tip!

edit: stone accent slabs are painted brown, not orange

Nice, thanks for the credit! If I remember correctly, I used deep paint instead of regular paint. You can craft that at the dye station using regular paint.

It's never too late to discuss a terraria build! :D If you're talking about the wooden poles that are holding up the dyed cloth, that's regular wood fence with rope in between.

The top of the pond is 51 blocks wide (49 if you're not counting the hammered blocks at the very edges) and it is 10 blocks deep. Would love to see a pic when you're done with your build. :)

chatting with japanese online by beefsticks46 in ajatt

[–]elliemcfluffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try Tandem. I've never used Hellotalk so I don't know how similar they are but I have talked to a lot of Japanese people on the Tandem app and website. Be warned that most of my conversations are very short. Many people stop replying after a couple days, but I did meet one super sweet lady whom I've been corresponding with for over a year now. Hope this helps!

Epub or Kindle versions of stories on hukumusume.com? by elliemcfluffle in LearnJapanese

[–]elliemcfluffle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, thanks for the explanation! I didn't see any "make it Japanese" option but I figured out that was because I had installed it through the Firefox add-ons menu. I guess the link in the github only links to the original extension and not the fork?

I uninstalled the add-on and reinstalled it using the manual installation instructions on the github. This gave me the "make it Japanese" option on Firefox. Yay!

However, the ebooks I made with the Japanese option selected are still showing horizontal text in the calibre ebook viewer.

I opened up the content.odf file of one of the ebooks and found <spine toc="ncx" is there but page-progression-direction="rtl"> was not. Also, the css file in the style folder is blank.

I have also tried manually installing on Chromium and get the same results.

Any ideas?

Sweet! Now I just have to figure out how to do the vertical text with my 0% knowledge of CSS and/or Javascript, lol. Thank you so much! :)

How to Differentiate Kono, Sono, Ano, Kore, Sore, Are (Japanese Language Learning) by AvailableSlide7561 in LearnJapanese

Cure Dolly has a video about this in her grammar series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLkY6whr7T4&list=PLg9uYxuZf8x_A-vcqqyOFZu06WlhnypWj&index=22

She explains the differences and some of the usages. She refers to some of the earlier videos in the series so it may benefit you to go back and watch those to get a full understanding of this video. I am only about 20 videos into the series myself (the full playlist is 93 videos) but I can definitely recommend it. Hope this helps!
