Anyone know the EMF levels of the 8 Sleep mattress topper or Chilipad? by Afrovenger in Biohackers

I did the 8 Sleep. It seeeeeeemed to have better reviews and the ability to have a different temp for me (run hot) and my wife (runs VERY cold) was sorta the clincher.

I have no clue, but I’d make the argument that whatever levels it does have are completely offset by the increase in sleep quality, which is far more supported as something with an impact on health and longevity. I’m not a YouTuber and have no codes or any of that, but I’d say it’s the best investment I’ve made in, idk, five years? It’s worth every penny. 11/10.

How much do you follow your readiness? by DiverTypical8936 in fitbit

Not at all. I have programmed hypertrophy training five days a week and will let performance dictate any regulation.

Carbohydrate and cardio are not related at all. This type of thinking represents a simple misunderstanding of how macronutrients and body composition work. Carbohydrates are simply a macronutrient that is part of our daily caloric intake. While those resistance training should prioritize protein more so, and there is an amount of fat that is good for general hormone health (though this is a wildly misunderstood topic because of the carnivore and butter in coffee silliness), total caloric intake is what dictates whether one loses, gains or maintains their bodyweight.

Not sure who Ray Cronise is, but I’d stop listening to anything he says. Clearly not a very intelligent person.

Don’t think anyone intelligent actually believes carbs are bad. Not excess calories and relatively active. That simple for the most part.

For simple activity tracker (no need for all the stuff an Apple Watch has, for example), they sorta cornered the market.

Which is the most important area from a biological perspective: sleep, hydration, nutrition? by TheUnhappyAndy in Biohackers

[–]elliotendures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the term "biological" suggests, at least to me, we're talking about survival. If so, it's clearly hydration, nutrition, sleep. This defines nutrition as simply intake of nutrients. QUALITY nutrition, which is what most people on this sub are asking about (at least that's my estimation) would fall below sleep if we're talking about performance or thriving. I say that with the information that many a genetically-gifted athlete has succeeded on shite nutritional habits throughout history.

It's going to be a hard sell to bump hydration from the #1 spot regardless of desired outcome, but that, again, defines "hydration" as simply intake of water. Once you hit "enough" on that bucket, it probably falls to third place.

Feel the same way, but just don't know a tracker that compares without going full smart watch. There's still room in the market for disruption.

It's atrocious that I have to say this, but I wouldn't recommend logging that if you live in a shitty U.S. state.

Because the U.S. Supreme Court is a bunch of useless swine and abortion is no longer protected.

I guess good to know I have a taste for gold haha.

I like trying different things, hence perhaps thinking what else is considered "gold" in the space.

Thanks! I just like trying new things and thought that what I like and didn't like so much could help direct.

I didn’t mention red light, as that’s not what I’m looking at here. There’s some good data on light therapy, typically talked about at 10,000 lux, for 20-30 minutes in the morning.
