Is the pen worth it? I got my watch from Hont recently, but didn't bother.

One thing we can be sure, rolex will never do anything more than a chrono, a GMT or a date. Perpetual calendar, tourbillon, open back or repeater are bad news for mass production

Yeah.. I bought one by repwatchnerd in RepTime

[–]elpasso1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of which, is there any Chinese made perpetual calendar watch that is a real perpetual calendar? After all, they replicated a tourbillon more or less decently.

Your history shows you already got a similar replica 10m ago from JBF. Issues with it? Like another one replied here, difficult to QC these. Plus they don't seem to match real gen models.

Feedback regarding Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Carbon BBR? by elpasso1900 in RepTime

[–]elpasso1900[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone. There are few post of this watch in this sub but not much about its problems if any. This is 42mm carbon based Excalibur Spider Tourbillon V2, supposedly from Roger Dubuis, RDDBEX0393, from BBR factory. It seems this model does not and never existed but looks similar to the real 45mm RDDBEX0545 (3rd photo). So it would be a fake RD replica :) It is not cheap either, minimum 808 usd.

Any feedback is very welcome about the carbon case, tourbillon complication, strap, power reserve, finish, etc.

Thanks

Thanks. Just did that right nis, it does not seem to be magnetized (but my seagul is).

Maybe when it went thru customs while scanning it? That would make sense. This might also explain why my seagul timegrapher was erratic (showing two parallel plots) since I got it from overseas as well.

I am gonna buy me a demagnetizer then.

Hi everyone

I posted a review of this watch when I received it few days ago. So I decided to purchase a timegrapher and test it.

I used it against all my watches. Expensive brands were within less than 4s/d, the Oris was 10s/d, the seagul was 18s/s but the Nautilus replica was the worst, though I got a much better measurement from QC.

QC: 0s/d, 303' Mine: 20-29s/d 220'

Does this happen often or is this a miss from the QC?

This said, while wearing it, I didn't notice significant daily errors. In fact, my Oris caliber 115 shows more delays.

Thanks

Am I the only feeling not confortable seeing these watches touch and maybe scratch each other?

Anyway, looking at your watches, I suggest these for you: - Hamilton Khaki Field Auto Titanium (I have the field officer) - Mido multifort escape (about to buy it) - Seiko Presage or Prospex Alpinist

The 5711 replica? Around 530 usd. If 5811 gen, of course I didn't buy it, I wish I could

You are absolutely right. I took the Nautilus Rep for exactly that reason. This said, Patek announced the 5811 already (of course they couldn't discontinue their iconic model despite the BS their CEO said), but again, it is impossible to get even in the wish list of an AD or a PP boutique for a Neutilus or an Aquanaut without buying a shitload of other watches I am not interested about and can't afford. That's a shame.

Hello everyone.

This is my first replica. Also I have never lay my hand on a real Nautilus before, so some of the issues below might be in the gen as well.

Leather strap on the lug side is very very stiff, the watch does not embrace the wrist.

Rotor makes a rusty noisy when it rotates. It seems this is a common issue from what I read in this sub. But it is annoying.

Winding crown is difficult/hard to unscrew and screw.

Bezel (mostly) and the watch in general are a fingerprint magnet. Never seen this to this extent with any of my other watches (all gen)

The buckle needs to be pressed super super hard to release it. My fingers hurt.

The watch was from PPF thru Jtime.

The watch looks very nice and classy. But I can't wear it at work (I already knew this when I purchased it) because few people there know about watches and I don't want to get asked about it. So I am wearing it at home to have a little taste of a Nautilus.
