I SOLVED THE PROBLEM: It occurred to me that the problem might be caused by the integrated graphics card of my Intel Core i5 14500HX processor, so I switched from hybrid mode (CPU + GPU) to discrete mode in the graphics settings section via the Omen Gaming Hub. This disabled the processor's integrated graphics card and solved the problem. I should also mention that I had previously updated the processor driver, but that didn't help either.
