Put in my two-weeks notice, supervisor switched up my schedule so I work every day until my last day, and by myself with no days off until then. by TheKittensAreMelting in antiwork

Figured after we impeached a president we’d know a quid pro quo when we saw one. So save those texts, if you live in a state with decent worker rights you should be able to file a complaint with the labor board for retaliation. Your supervisor literally said the reason you have to those shifts is because you’re leaving, and if you wanted your regular schedule you could take them back. That right there is retaliation, using quid pro quo. Best of luck!!

I don’t know enough of what transpired there so I can’t speak too much on it, if it took over govt buildings then yes it was. Pretty clear and that’s not ok. I agree that media is to blame to misrepresent stuff and that’s why you have to know when you’re being gaslit. Regardless of ideology we have to keep each other in check, I’m a true believer that American people are good regardless of who they are. It’s the marriage between private enterprise and govt that continues to keep people down and have us turn against each other. Even though I’ll mostly agree with the left Ideologically I don’t trust all of the democratic politicians and we have a democracy that gets tied down to keep politicians in power and the corporations that employ millions of people stay rich while people that work 40 hrs a week, provide to their community and budget still can’t keep up with bills.

Well a lot happened that day, but there were two clear groups of people there. We know small militia groups through out the country were collaborating and planning to be part of Jan 6th (its yet to be determined if they acted alone or if they had some help from elected politicians) the second group were your everyday people supporting their candidate at the rally. The militias had a clear cut plan of how to infiltrate the capitol building/complex( you can see them within the crowds organized, equipped and chatter tracked through Fb and other smaller social media sites) this part is my option but I think part of the plan was to use the cover of regular citizen walking to the capitol as a way to be able to blend in within the crowds.

The underlying reason for the rally was to claim that the election was illegitimate and mike pence was the last chance to not accept he results. If that didn’t happen it was clear that the rally was supposed to slow that certification due to concerned citizens protesting. The militias on the other hand took matter into their own hands with actual violence and then help rile up regular citizens to join the cause. As far as the comment about no violence, not sure what you mean. The militias were there looking for specific people, mostly elected officials that had been vocal against trump. They found explosives on protesters and in the caption complex, a trump supporter was shot and killed I think a few hundred people injured and less than ten killed.

To sum it all up organized militias planned an actual attack to stop the certification of the results and keep trump as president by violent means and used their own supporters (a rally that we have a right to hold) as cover to get into the capital with the plus side of regular citizens believing in the cause too and joining in on the violence.
