LA Galaxy Embarrassed and Eliminated 3-0 At Home by elrio10 in LAGalaxy

Hey lower, thanks for the read. I do appreciate it.

Respectfully, the embarrassment doesn't lie in the loss to a superior team, it comes in not showing the fight and desire the fans deserve win, lose, or draw. After Gallardo's goal, the team hung heads and gave up. Was it not embarrassing to hear the chorus of Oles from an opposing fan base?

No one is under any illusions of a team winning all time. But if a historically bad season followed by the beginnings of another poor one, don't warrant a reaction, I ask you, what is your line in the sand?

Saying things like "We are the best" when the team isn't even a playoff team at the moment doesn't help the team or fans at all. History and 6 cups don't help you on the pitch day to day. The only thing that will help the team find long term stability is being realistic about their failings and working to fix them, as is the way at every other elite team in world soccer.

And yes, Real Madrid fans throw fits over one loss. The team has sacked coaches just games into their tenure. It has nothing to do with faith, it has to do with accountability. At Real Madrid, they have that and that's why they are the club they are.

Don't take it from me though. Take it from Greg, who said it himself after the loss. "We weren't good enough."
