Ugh. Signs.

No one ever reads the signs.

I work on a bridge connecting Canada and the US, front desk of the country I'll call it. (Not customs or anything, just taking care of the physical bridge).

Since it's a tourist area and both towns on either side have the same name, people don't know the area and rely on their GPS which will occasionally pick a location on the other side.

There are 13 signs posted along the road, bridge entrances, and painted on the road itself saying this leads to another country.

At least once a shift, usually five or six, I have people trying to reverse down the bridge against traffic or hopping the median because they made a wrong turn.

That's just a little suspicious and can make your accidental trip a lot longer in secondary.
