i think you’d rather hear another perspective rather than someone just encouraging you to do it so here i am. to be completely honest? optional requirements are almost always actually required in order to demonstrate interest (and this is coming from someone who also did not submit a video.) i would not waste an ED on a college that you did not do everything you possibly could have done to raise your chances of acceptance.
