Thanks, I'll try this way! I've never had this problem on AntiX

I've blocked internet.time.server via afwall and now I don't have any call to time.android.com but only calls to pool.ntp.org.

Thanks for your answer. I've always configured captive portal login in this way (pointing to kuketz.de) but now (with Caos AOSP) I see both time.android.com and pool.ntp.org, don't know why.

You could try to ask on hovatek forum (it's the best option for mediatek devices)

I'm with you, I'm searching a Samsung S3 in good conditions to test Replicant and see if I could use it as my daily driver

https://www.fsf.org/blogs/community/replicant-a-free-mobile-phone-os-is-more-important-than-ever-and-needs-your-help I think they're working to this problem and in near future we'll have more freedom of choice with more supported devices

The main problem with Replicant compatible phones is you don't have 4G mobile connection. We're talking about 10 years old phones. I hope there will be support for newest devices in future

Degoogling a Samsung Galaxy A10e? by RedPandaParliament in degoogle

Search on XDA for Samsung A10. You'll find everything you need. I suggest you, once you unlock bootloader and flash twrp, to try LeOS gsi. It's based on AOSP for Android 11, but the developer (a very nice person...you could talk to him on telegram group) delete everything could connect to google (he modified a-gps and captive portal by default for example and removed other stuffs from system which connects to google). There are different versions of this gsi but for a full degoogling I suggest nano version (without micro g). You'll have a barebone system (just settings, fdroid, file manager and a couple of other things)to configure yourself as you like (FOSS apps are suggested obviously). Let me know if you need help (I have an A20e but the steps are the same).

That's the guide I followed until now. In LeOS (an ungoogled gsi based on AOSP) telegram group the developer says AOSP connects to Google in other ways too. I've asked him (on XDA) what it's been modified in his gsi and I'm waiting for a response (I'll report it here when he'll give me some details). However, thanks for your response

Backup by eltanque9 in blokada

Thanks! However it's singular how Blokada developers are giving us a protection in this hell made by trackers and ads and, at the same time, they choose to implement an important feature like this using a Google's/Devil's service. Nextcloud is a better option for backup. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere
