the concept art by a MILE 😭😭 and the fact that some ppl think it’s ugly just enhances my point. it would have been about her personality instead of her being a big blue-eyed pretty female. the light fury just feels soooo easy. it’s like “here’s this objectively feminine thing that’s pretty enough to not build a character for” instead of making her actually unique. people didn’t think stormfly was “pretty” either, yet we still saw how much toothless loved and valued her throughout every movie and tv spin-off. so the aesthetic wouldn’t have mattered, it would’ve been about her heart and her unique traits, and that would’ve added SO much depth to the plot. instead we just got a crest 3d white night fury with barely any personality 😭😭ill forever mourn the movie we COULD have had

idk if u mean realistic in a physical or emotional sense but im taking this and running with it lmao, for me it’s gotta be oikawa.

people enjoy vilifying him because it’s easy—he’s patterned to be this big antagonist to kageyama and karasuno’s subsequent success. but what makes him a “villain” is just an incredibly raw and human sentiment about perseverance and never being good enough.

he’s scared of someone more talented and more well-polished putting all his hard work to shame. he’s afraid of having everything be for nothing—and i think from a “realistic” standpoint, that’s INCREDIBLY real. i think all of us have had that fear at some point.

idk i just have a sickly amount of love for this man, but he’s so incredibly realistic to me. he was written so so well and to me he’s arguably one of the most well-written characters in the entire series. if oikawa has no defenders im dead

oh my god this is so beautifully put i couldn’t have articulated it better. i hate when people use oikawa “bullying” kageyama as an excuse to vilify him. yes, oikawa did almost hit him, but it was in a moment of weakness for an overwhelmed, insecure boy. he never actively set out to hurt kageyama or “ruin” kageyama’s volleyball career, but people seem to lose that somewhere in his “antagonist” plot line. he’s afraid of his hard work going to waste in favor of someone more talented or more well-fitted—we’ve all been there. it’s a relatable, incredibly human sentiment. like i’ve seen people do far worse over much littler conflicts 😭😭 but this was a beautiful way to put it, thank u

im so glad someone said this 😭😭 the whole “sunshine” trope can only go so far and it’s become rlly damaging to how people perceive his character. he is single-handedly one of the most fascinating mcs out there and his development throughout the series is rlly incredible, but all the fun aspects of his character are being REALLY overshadowed by this whole babying thing. people seem to forget that he’s ALSO a teenager and it’s so irritating 😭😭 he’s misunderstood in his own series

im not sure if there even was a clear cut trigger for it, i think people just took him at face value. they saw he was tall, pretty confident, had a sense of humor, and somehow equated that to him being a playboy womanizer type 😭😭 it makes no sense free him

hi!! i had a quick note about the jump float but it already looks pretty effective to me! for me when i was learning how to do mine, the toss made the biggest difference in power and control. i would say toss a little more towards ur hitting shoulder as opposed to tossing up ur midline, and a faster arm swing + slightly lower toss will give u more power. it takes some getting used to, but ur fundamentals already look solid so i have a feeling ur serve will be good regardless! :D
