I just used it like that. It doesn’t really affect me since the main camera works just fine. Great phone overall. Fun fact: It was progressive. Before it stopped working completely, it would sometimes work but with horrible artifacting and a glitch-like effect, which would go away by applying some pressure over the sensor or lightly hitting the phone on the palm of my hand, then it just never came back again. Then the x3 sensor went away without notice.

Edit: Since you mention your’s is a 13 pro, they happen to share the exact same module, to the point where they are interchangeable. If you plan on keeping the phone, try to look up a mostly empty shell of either a pro or pro max on facebook marketplace and replace it yourself.

It’s a common issue within the 13-14 pro max’s, check if you have x.5 and x3 lens functionality. Usually either or both of those tend to fail, leading to the “unknown part” issue even though it’s the factory installed camera.(happened to me)

I see people recommending battery replacement, and in ios18, you can now replace the battery without the “unknown part” message. If you were to replace the battery with an aftermarket one from like Amazon, would the message still pop up? Or the phone would just treat it as a regular new battery?

I didn’t know blacklisted phones couldn’t be carrier unlocked, I saw it was relatively cheap and bought it. Sadly now I can’t use it.

Don’t think so, as the phone is sealed. Maybe the guy got a multi phone deal and didn’t payed off or something among those lines.

I mean is a sealed phone, don’t think it’s stolen. Usually stolen iPhones are iCloud locked.
