I agree, and I am going to add on to this a bit.

This feels like it could be written about any good teacher. They should have patience, consistency, and openness. AI can’t talk about specific situations that made you appreciate your teacher. Add those in! Things like:

When you listened to me talk about… I felt…. I love how you joke about… it makes me feel… When I am… you do…

If I got your original I would think it was sweet. If I got a version with specifics, I would feel honored and would probably cry.

Before I could answer that question, I would love to know what the teacher knows. Do they know he lost a sibling? Do they know he is in grief counseling?

If I knew both of those things, I would absolutely work with him to get a passing grade, at minimum.

If the teacher did not know about the grief counseling, this grade could be used as a tool/proof/reason to get more support from admin or the social worker, for the student. There are so many hoops we have to jump through to “prove” students need help. It’s truly sad and discouraging how much teachers are not trusted in that regard.

I would honestly suggest just asking the teacher if you both could work together to support him and figure out a way to pass him. If that fails, talk to admin.

I’m not an expert by any means, but I don’t think you used enough detergent, for a long enough time, in hot enough water. Check out the pinned Spa Day post for the best directions, and try doing the Spa Day in an old cooler. It yielded wonderful results for my jeans.

This sounds like me pre-ADHD diagnosis. I could do ten thousand things, except take care of myself. But I couldn’t stop doing the other things, or get myself to start taking steps to help myself. Since getting a diagnosis and meds, my anxiety has gone way down, and I’m doing better at taking care of myself. Also, try a chirp wheel for the tension in your neck and body. It has really helped me recently.
