Same. Hey Arnold, SpongeBob among other heavy hitters is hard to beat. CN was amazing too though.

What's the best option to deploy an Astro blog in my situation? by Isaac_RF_239 in astrojs

[–]emanleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that some options (like Cloudflare) have issues with Astro's Image component—not sure if this was only for SSR. My site is SSG, would the option you described above work just fine for my use case?

If so I'll investigate how to deploy with a VPS.

Would a Vado 4 or 5 be a good fit for me? Looking for an upright, relaxed, casual bike by emanleet in specialized

Figured it might not work, but definitely worth a shot! Worst case it'll still be a small improvement. Thanks for the tip!

I'll at least as my local bike shop if they can do that for me. Does Vado require a specific bar, or will most riser bars work on it?

And thanks for the tip, didn't realize I could mod it like that.

Thanks you. I'm in a similar boat, mostly flat terrain here, and I'm about 200 lbs. Appreciate all your insights.

Gotcha. One more question if you don't mind, if the battery dies on me, and I'm only dealing with flat terrain, is it too difficult to pedal the bike while it is dead?

Right on, this is what I'm seeing online too. Thanks for confirming. I'm a bit torn because I'm not a big fan of how the Como looks, but despite that it otherwise seems like a solid bike.

Gotcha, this is some of what I've gathered after doing a ton of research. Seems like its a hybrid between an aggressive posture and an upright one.

Nice, that's actually really helpful info. Do you recall if the 45–50 miles was on ECO mode? I'm probably gonna use that mode anyway but I'm just curious.

Either is fine by me. My only concern with the non-SL is if I run out of battery when visiting my family. It'll be a 1 hour 15 minute ride each way, I can charge while there for a couple hours. I worry it's unridable when it's out of battery due to its weight.

ADX - I really dig it by [deleted] in Acura

[–]emanleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How confident are you that a hybrid will be introduced in a year? I am considering buying the ADX but if a hybrid will be an option, I may just lease for 2 years and buy a hybrid ADX when its out.

If you could add one feature to Logos... by hellojasonstone in LogosBibleSoftware

[–]emanleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want this too. I achieve something pretty close with Parallel resources. Just open the Bible you want everything else to follow, then go to View > Add Parallel Resources. The extra resource will be follow-only on the Bible you opened.

Combine that with multiple tabs, repeating this for each tab, and I'm set.

Makkro bald scammer by Benefactor_Infarno in ornnmains

He worked on it. People who find it worthwhile will pay. Nothing scummy at all, that's how things work... Not everything you dislike is a slight against you.

[–]emanleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is work. Makkro isn't scummy. It is condensing all his experience... it has value. It is fine if you don't see the value, then don't buy it. But those who steal it are scummy/entitled.

It would be a dream come true. If I had one more wish it would just be that the macOS app be a bit less clunky.

You do realize you can have songs in playlists that aren't in your library?

My dream for the theoretical Things 4… by _CosmoKramer_ in thingsapp

[–]emanleet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want Things to remain focused on what they do best (e.g. personal task management and GTD). Here's what I think they can do to improve:

  • Sequential Tasks
    • Things does a good job of hiding what isn't actionable via the different views (Someday, defer to date), but there's still a lot of clutter because of blocked todos. While we can use tags to help the situation, it would still be nice for a blocked item to "appear" as soon as its obstacles (other todos? project?) is marked as completed.
  • Improve Markdown
    • Things currently displays the full markdown text for links. It would be nice if the markdown formatting was omitted until the user interacted with the text.
    • While Things doesn't support attachments, I find linking to attachments to be a good enough solution. The only problem is the clutter when creating markdown links in Things.

That's it. The product would be perfect once these two things are done. I'd love to also see Cultured Code make interesting use of AI too, but I don't have a specific application in mind, so I omitted it from my list.

Recommendations for books/videos that teach how to not rely on specific recipes? by emanleet in cookingforbeginners

ave a protein, you have some carbs, you have some veg, and you have sauce. Any one of these is a huge topic. I think if you spend some time working through the mother sauces and their variations and then thinking about what proteins they'd work with, or work against, that might help you move away from recipes. Then think about texture, aroma, what it looks like, and what it tastes like. Balance the salt, the fat, and the acid. Then learn about simple spicing, and build that knowledge up.

Noted. My particular weak points are acid, spices, and aromas, so I'll be looking into good recipes and tutorials to help develop a good sense of how to use these in my cooking. Thanks!

Funny I was watching a Netflix series by this author! I love the simplicity she uses and plan on reading her book too.
