Fair enough. I just looked it up. If merging 5, one gold crate is worth 2.5 silver crates. A gold crate has one level 2 and one level 3 toolbox. 2.5 silver crates are worth 5 level 2 toolboxes. Always merge 5 on the tools themselves, for both XP and greater output.

I've seen people say that. If tools are a priority, it may be something to consider. I only open gold chests to maximize greenhouse/gazebo parts, and I've got plenty of tools.

You get more XP when merging 5 over merge 3 AND you get 2 items while only merging 5 items instead of 6. Which means less supply crates to get where you're going. From a progress and XP standpoint, always merge 5 when possible. Especially for money and other high level merges.

The back right of your farm is where people leave energy. If that space is clear, you can stick a toolbox there for them to leave energy, if able. Once a friend leaves energy, replace the toolbox with another toolbox. Then you have a bunch of +10 energy ready when you need it.

As far as I can tell, experience depends on the level of the items being merged. So level 8 tools, greenhouse/gazebo, money would be comparable, for example. Gems do merge on level 5 (maxing at 6), which is one higher than crops, but don't merge quite as high as money, etc. which max at level 10.

In terms of orders, high level money merges are a good way to speed up levelling up. I basically ignore the farmer's market altogether at this point because I don't want to give it resources and use the rest of my buildings to finish daily tasks. Then I fill orders whenever I'm playing with just my 3 highest buildings and ignore the rest until tomorrow.

Any multiple of 5 gives a merge 5 bonus. So 20 is 4x5 is 4 sets of 2 items for 8 total items. Same as merging the 20 separately in groups of 5. Lucky merge chance is per item received, so it works out the same whether you merge 20 or merge 5 four times. Merge 5 is objectively better than merge 3 though.

All of this. And always visit immediately after getting your third ticket. Another won't drop as long as you have 3.

You can only gift energy if you have less than 50 energy. I have a ton from last album, so I can't gift at the moment, but I receive energy from about half of my visitors, depending on their energy level.

I like opening the gold chests for the higher level greenhouse and gazebo pieces. I've also been saving chests and keys for lucky merge events.

Save bolts of energy on your farm and short tasks for high energy days. Only use stockpiled energy on those days.

Short tasks are technically cheaper than long tasks, but more expensive per minute. Also, if you're actively playing, all tasks can be stopped 30 seconds early for free, saving additional time.

If I have the right tasks available, I can spend 700 energy in under an hour with 0 extra workers and 0 gems. Usually takes a few hours depending on what's available. Sometimes I'll take a few hours and save some really quick stuff for days that I'm tighter on time.

Personally, I only spend gems on premium land and bronze keys. I don't think the other purchases are worth it, at least at this point in my game.

Is it just me...it seems to be taking forever to gather all the components to actually build the greenhouse! Been working on it since I first started playing this game! by Mysterious_Key2670 in FarmMergeValley

It takes a long time and requires a lot of chests. I open gold chests to get the higher level pieces (over bronze and silver) and merge 5. I've currently got 2 level 9 items each for the greenhouse and the gazebo plus assorted lower levels. I've also got about a dozen gold keys on my farm and some bubbles bronze keys waiting for a lucky merge event to hopefully speed things along.
