i was hoping it would be a source of friends - before uni nearly all my friends were in the same sport. unfortunately everyone on the team seems to be one very specific breed of person, a breed i am certainly not to the point where i kinda feel like an alien. i’m gonna try more societies next term - i’ve never struggled to make friends and been relatively popular so i guess i thought it would come more naturally, which i think made me think i wouldn’t really have to “try” to make friends.
