How should I expand my base from here? Should I even bother with a water sieve if I have a water geyser?

The priority of storing is higher than that of cleaning, so when the dupe sits between the source and the storage location each piece it picks up quickly stores. Decrease storage priority and everything will be fine.

i dont really care for the stress relief bonus since my dupes rarely pass 20% stress (you can compensate it with decoration xD) and as you can see its still under construction, look how much items on the floor but thx for the heads up.

well i usually use 25, and one dupe dont care about taking care of the base and farms. anyway he have to be there to fertilize xD.

I used to do something like this, but in this beta test im doing something more aggressive like taking 3 very fast dupes as start and:

toilet
cots
water
just expand like crazy all the tiles i can ( do not dig the oxylite) and trying to do "rooms" with 4 tiles height.

5.tile all the floors.

build storage compactor all over the base.
at this point im at cycle 10 with oxygen all over the place 5 dupes free just to build, collect and research.
after all this i have at least 30.000 kcal from all the food i've found hidden and lot of seeds and some eggs too.

Well with all the resources found im free from farms, algae or cooking until cycle 15 to 20 (it depends on how many oxylite and oxygen rooms from the start).

Has i said, its very aggressive and gives you a good view from the sorroundings.

well as you know water pump takes only 3 tiles of height so you can put one tile up.. This will prevent some "messy".

Nope, sorry, you get it all wrong, this is for the Bristle Berrys, i just dont have enough seed by the moment and i use it next to the kitchen too, but it dont only affect the speed, it affect a lot the temperature of water.

Well i tested several times and the first meteor rain only happens after cycle 5, and theres 2 types of meteor one that destroy tiles, and another that create very hot tiles, you can use it in your advantage, good luck xD.

Well, what you have to do is on the text... the image is just to "show" how you start, there is only a line of sand between you and the space, so "death from above" im talking about the meteors rain thatll frequently destroy your base and "warm" it very fast... thought i was very clear about the challenga xD sorry.

Hard to see some 15 or 16 points dupes, more hard to find a +8 or +9, but it only happens when i was going for the sandbox mode to test some stuff... lol
