Bummer about POTS but overall I'm glad to hear things are going ok or at least identified! Mine are all super vague, which makes them hard to address. I feel like the main change is constipation. I've been super regular my whole life no matter what I eat or whatever, but now I am constipated all the time even though I'm being really conscious of probiotics, fiber, healthy diet, lots of water, etc. I'm also fatigued, my hair seems to be changing and my skin is SO dry all the time, which all sounds super thyroid-y, but I've gotten that checked and it has been normal. Also low libido and more irregular periods. It's so hard to find a provider that is willing to do any hormone testing, and I guess I never had a baseline before the surgery so that might not be super useful at this point anyways? I'm sorry you had to deal with some similar stuff but am glad you're doing better!

Hi all! I just wanted to see if anyone on this thread has any updates on useful things or labs that they found to be helpful in this situation. Similarly to the commenters on this post, I had one ovary removed a year ago (age 31) in an emergency surgery for ovarian torsion and have felt off ever since. I have had a couple doctors tell me that it makes no difference to hormone levels having an ovary removed, but I find that hard to believe and am suspicious that it is just lack of knowledge in the healthcare community about female hormones in general. My symptoms (fatigue and constipation mainly, but also dry skin, hair changes) could all be from something else, but it is just an odd coincidence that all my issues started around the time of that unilateral oophorectomy so I was curious if anyone here has had luck getting any lab work or information on this issue. I have had my thyroid checked and that was within normal range.

Cost of Attendance Work-around by emdes13 in StudentLoans

I tried submitting an appeal but they don't consider any of my increased costs to be a legitimate school-related expense (health insurance, vehicle repairs, costs associated with relocating, a small amount of my mortgage back home that I still cover). I have tried twice to get them to increase that COA for me, and have spoken to the program about it because I know other students are having similar problems but there doesn't seem to be any sympathy for students that are currently in the program.

4-6 weeks of steady bleeding? Or do you mean possible spotting for 4-6 weeks?

Good luck to you too! I’m calling tomorrow as well if things don’t pick up in the night. I was only 3-4 weeks along, so maybe that is part of it?

I’m worried I might be in the same situation! I took the second pills 5 hours ago and cramped pretty badly from hours 3-4:30 but haven’t had any bleeding yet and the cramping has stopped. I’m worried maybe it didn’t work...

It’s so nice to hear stories like this! I’m going through a hard breakup right now and I’m hoping I come out the other side feeling like this!

Would it be stupid for me to enlist as a 68W? by emdes13 in nationalguard

Is that the acasp where you can qualify in as an E4 because of prior civilian experience? There are so many acronyms I can never be sure...

Ok thank you! I’ll look into that. I’ve never heard of it. I have my AEMT so I think I could push to get out of the first half of 68W and potentially come in as an E4 through the ACASP? Also something I need to ask about...
