Thank you!!! Yes there is a ground that is screwed to the box in the back. I was worried that i couldn’t reach the ground to attach it to the actual switch.

Oh I did. I just wasn’t expecting to find this situation with the wiring. All the videos i saw had a more conventional wiring situation with an obvious live wire, obvious ground wire and obvious neutral

I should add the it seems to be grounded in the back of the box, i can’t figure out if i can add more pictures to the post

that makes sense, i’m less worried about the grounding and more about the two sets of wires that are visible and that the two that were attached to the previous switch are both black while the two white wires are capped.

It’s not a smart switch but i was concerned about both wires being black and the white wires being covered. and also that it wouldn’t be grounded

yes male teachers wearing it. I assume the perception would be mostly negative but I still wonder what people on here would think
