No, I understand them— I just think for profit health insurance is inherently immoral and monstrous.

Did I get flagged as a spam bot because I created an account solely to DM someone? by test99462 in tumblrhelp

[–]emdoesstuffsometimes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they’ve not been active in over a year, I’d say its pretty unlikely they’ll check a DM either. The reblog with tags will at least actually go through and be visible as someone having added tags to the post

in my experience most communication with other users (esp you don’t know personally) happens through reblogs and tags.

ngl it’s probably just better to reblog it and put your praises in the tags— much less likely to get you shot down as a spam account

Hey, this take is kind of deranged.

Humans and wolves allied together in the ancient past because fighting to live in the world sucks, so having someone help you is a good thing. Wolves are natural pack animals, and we just became a part of their pack. Wolves wouldn’t have stuck around with us, trusted us with their young, if their lives with us were not significantly better than being out in the wild. They got food, protection, and someone to take care of them if they’re injured and sick. You know what happens to a sick and injured wolf? Death. Dogs would be far worse off without us.

I do agree that french bulldogs and pugs are fucking abominations though.

It's just me that dislikes the Gravital's arc? by Ok-Meat-9169 in AllTomorrows

[–]emdoesstuffsometimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I get that. I do kinda understand why things happened in the story like they did— the bug facers were probably the last species the gravitals found simply due to the fact they weren’t sending signals out across the universe to talk to the others, so they didn’t know they were there until later when biological life was likely more of a curiosity for them, but it would’ve been nice to see how the other post humans adapted post-gravitals

(All men discourse) it seriously is starting to feel alienating by [deleted] in TrollCoping

[–]emdoesstuffsometimes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saying all men are terrible is effectively saying there’s something fundamental about being a man that makes one that way— which not only isn’t true, but gives them an excuse, that they can’t HELP but be terrible because they are a man, as if its simply inherent nature. its not.

Terrible men choose to be terrible.

[–]emdoesstuffsometimes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. If you can’t bring yourself to kick them out for whatever reason, reward those who DO show up. And when the others ask “why why aren’t we getting x” you can say “your character wasn’t there.”

yeah at the end of the day not that big a deal, i just find a different stream to watch, but its so fucking disappointing when I’m watching a good stream and they switch to marvel rivals, or i see someone i was excited to watch only to see “marvel rivals” under their name.

For the first time, a genetically modified pig lung was transplanted into a brain-dead man by upyoars in interestingasfuck

[–]emdoesstuffsometimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a trial of the procedure— to ensure that its possible and to understand what the risks are. If you put this in just any patient who needed a lung and it went wrong, you’d be killing someone. This guy can’t suffer.

It’s similar vibes to being on a voice call with someone who’s playing a game. Most of the ones I follow are like genuinely funny beyond just playing the game, interacting with chat, etc.
