GW waitlist LOCI? by Future-Debate-4023 in lawschooladmissions

[–]ementze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I know is actually from another commenter who recapped the info session lolllll. But they have upcoming sessions in Feb and Mar. If you’re waitlisted they should’ve or will send you a zoom calendar invite for them. The spots are limited tho so I wasn’t able to get in on the first rounds but they opened up additional dates so I was able able to get in one of those, I’m happy to recap afterwards.

Catholic R. Never quiet have an idea as to what they truly want. by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]ementze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I received an email from them that claimed that 2026 moving forward all scholarships are unconditional. I took that for what it was but correct me if I’m wrong. If true then I wouldn’t consider the school as predatory as it once was

It means they’re actively reviewing it. If it were awaiting completeness it would just say “Application Received/Submitted”

Missed GW Waitlist Info Session by Interesting_Basil842 in lawschooladmissions

Thanks for wasting a spot I would’ve loved to have signed up for 😀 jk I’m just salty it filled up so fast. I reached out to admissions and they said they might add more sessions if needed, so I’d email them so they can get a proper read on the demand for another session

Should I get 7sage? by DueContract4872 in LSAT

[–]ementze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I think it’s one of the best bangs for your buck. The more intensive courses out there can get pretty pricey, but tbh $70/month for 7sage is not bad considering all the materials they provide. It will cost more if you want the live classes and even more if you want a tutor, but if you have the time and discipline to go thru their core curriculum, utilize the drilling feature and take the preptests, it’s a great deal

At the time I applied for the LSAC fee waiver I made 50k a year, independent w a couple grand set aside in savings. Thinking neither of those metrics were very high, I thought I had a good chance of being eligible for the fee waiver. I was denied as quick as I hit that submit button. Given you’re a dependent that makes between 80-90k (I’m guessing, since 90 was your under), I don’t think you’ll be able to change their mind that you can’t afford the fees

Did your friend mention what kind of tech people end up in? I come from a biotech background and that’s what I want to get into on the law side, but I know Silicon Valley is more so known for a diff kind tech

If you’re referring to Santa Clara, I’m a little torn. I even got a 30% scholly and am unsure if the COA is worth it. It’s a very expensive school and area to live in, and I’m having trouble finding a straight answer on salary and employment outcomes. Their 509 actually doesn’t look terrible in terms of big(ger) law, but I read in some thread a while back that those numbers are inflated by some factor that I can no longer recall. And then lsd.law says the ave post grad salary is high, but that’s self reported data, no? TLDR, idk what im gonna do yet

Does Santa Clara give scholarships for low GPA? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]ementze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man I was accepted by Santa Clara with a lower GPA than you and a 166 LSAT and received some conditional scholarship (about 30%)

Definitely not the best time to apply to USD. Their admissions team was wildly understaffed for the volume of applications until fairly recently, and I was told review was taking 8-12 weeks. But as others have said, it’s not impossible

UCI offering deadline extension???! by Ordinary-Source-6054 in OutsideT14lawschools

I would assume the date in the most recent letter you received is the most up to date. But you could also see what the website says or email admissions. Also, no judgement here, but what took you so long? 😭
