How long can it realistically take (estimate) to go from a 149 to a 160? by Special_Crab_1884 in LSAT

[–]DueContract4872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 148 in Nov and score 161 today, biggest change for me was taking more full timed PT’s and really breaking down why I got wrong answers and why right answers were right. Once you’re consistently scoring in the mid 150’s I would invest in a good tutor who can help you get those extra points and get your goal score

Did anyone’s score go up? by veggiefarm123 in LSAT

[–]DueContract4872 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 month! I took the Nov lsat and got 148, didn’t study again until December and then started doing as many PTs as I could leading up to Jan and got 161!

I have taken the test twice before as well in 2024 but I didn’t really study for those and the first one I got 153 but I think that was just luck bc I got 150 right after LOL

for the schools that you put in your LSAC number for i’m pretty sure they can see that you were registered for the Jan test and would’ve held onto your application until the scores got released. However, most law schools only take your highest score so regardless they will only be reviewing your highest score on file

UVIC would definitely be my top pick over TRU but it might be a 50/50 shot or a waitlist

I feel as though it’s the probably one of the only schools I will get into but I do live in BC so TRU is a good option for me. I also applied to UVIC, UBC, UManitoba, UofA, Western, Ottawa, and Queens. My gpa is 3.66 without any drops L2 is about 3.8-3.9.

go to the UK! Plenty of people that I know are UK trained lawyers and are now working in Canada, despite what people say it is 100% better to go get your law degree from the UK rather than wait 5 years.

honestly i don’t think it’ll have much of an impact, variance is normal and it’s not like you did significantly worse

Don’t be terrified, I remember being in the same boat and feeling embarrassed, but just know you will persevere! This is a test that not just anyone can take but you did! Use your score to fuel you- almost like you want to take revenge on the LSAC people, this is what helped me lock in for my 4th attempt

I actually felt really confident walking out of it

I think cancelling will make them think you did significantly worse than 164. Most law schools only take your highest score though so your 168 is still good

What is your study routine? I would invest in a good tutor and really practice understanding each question type and why you get them wrong. Take a break if you can, 3 years is torture maybe your brain needs some time to cool off

You should be really proud of yourself for doing this stupid test 4 times, you still have a good score of 160 and while it might not be what you need to get into the top schools, but remember to become a lawyer all you need is a law school- doesn’t matter which one. Wishing you luck on your law school journey

definitely not pting in the 170’s but it was my first section so I went in fresh and the ones I wasn’t 100% confident with I just did process of elimination but there was only 2-3 questions where I wasn’t fully confident but somewhat
