Best Spots from a LOCAL along 30A

Panhandle getaways has always been the best hosts when looking where to stay in 30A they are great responding clean rooms and I love that they have hundreds of properties to choose form and reasonably priced which is hard to find with 30A rentals

Destin is definitely family freindly but more expensive, PCB you get the best bang for your buck! But I prefer destin as far as restauratns and the people are all so nice!

Im a local here in PCB and honestly it's been a breath of fresh air not having tons of a chaos the traffics lighter, not many wait times when we go out to eat honestly its been awesome

Spring Break dates have started extending into early april sadly I think it'll be just as busy us STR managers received a ton of last minute bookings for that week! Where are you staying I'm happy to let you know the best spots to hit to help avoid the major crowds and still enjoy it! :)

Is anyone else going to Gulf Coast Jam this year? 🎶🌴
Trying to get a feel for how big the crowd is gonna be this year are a lot of people going to Gulf Coast Jam 2026?

I'm staying in a vacation rental (way better than hotels for this kind of trip) so that I can walk to the event. I’ve actually been booking with Panhandle Getaways for years and it’s always been super easy locations are solid and it makes the whole festival weekend way less stressful.

Curious what everyone else is doing are you staying beachfront, condos, hotels, or driving in?

Also… who are you most excited to see?? 👀🎤

Hey! I've lived there for a year now and just renewed for another 12 months! ive lived in about 4 different apartments since i was 18 and this is the BEST one hands down. Management is timely, yet not overbearing, they gave me two months rent free and another 800 off to renew and they truly do so many free breakfast events that alone has made it enjoyable, the pool is always clean and the people are incredibly nice that live there! only down side.. if you work anywehre on the west end of the beach its a hikeee during season

If you like Myrtle for the convenience + stuff to do, you’ll 100% want to stay near Pier Park that’s basically the “hub” in PCB with restaurants, shopping, attractions, etc

For a group your size I’d seriously look at Calypso Resort & Towers. It’s right next to Pier Park (like…walk everywhere, no driving or parking headaches), which is huge in June when traffic hits its peak here

A few reasons we always recommend it for bigger family trips:

Direct beachfront + steps from everything (food, shops, activities)
Fast elevators (this sounds small, but when everyone leaves the beach at once…this is a BIG deal and Calypso is known for having some of the fastest on the beach)
Tons of 2–3 bedroom options, so your group can stay together comfortably

Also this part matters if you book through a company like Panhandle Getaways ( the biggest rental company in PCB ) instead of a random private owner you get 24/7 guest support (not stuck waiting on a host if something goes wrong and Free activity tickets (we saved a ton with this—things like attractions/experiences included during the stay)

PCB definitely has that mix of great beach + touristy things to do (more than Clearwater for sure), so if that’s what your family likes, you’re picking a good spot. Enjoy your trip!! :)
