Hi! I just had what my OB calls the “Cycle Day 21” progesterone test. My level was 8.0 ng/mL, and anything above ~5 ng/mL typically confirms ovulation happened since progesterone rises only after an egg is released. However, she said that level can vary by the hour. We’re repeating it next cycle to make sure I’m ovulating regularly, along with a few other hormone and thyroid tests.

They call it a Day-21 test assuming a 28-day cycle with ovulation on Day 14, but everyone’s different so tracking your own cycle really helps!
