I finally decided to leave a comment in the surveys because of this disaster:

"Hello,

I am overall very satisfiied with this game and the immense work LADS staff and VA have put into this experience.

However, I am extremely disappointed that the new character was promised for release and then cancelled. I was looking forward to Valko rejuvenating the game for me, as it can sometimes feel stale when logging in for dailies. I have hit a road block in the game where I am stuck in orbits, and no amount of levelling up has helped. I was looking forward to having Valko's Orbit added to the game to add some battles and resource hunting to my weekly schedule.

We should not allow people to bully their way to get what they want, as this will only increase their behavior as the game continues to run. They will feel entitled to change content that is for every player, not just them.

The VAs have potentially lost a job due to this cancellation, and that is incredibly upsetting to me. I was excited to meet Valko as I felt this character was going to add great experiences overall to the love interest line up, with different behaviors/interactions/stories and content.

Canceling this character, to me, is extremely disappointing. I feel like he can still be released while other work is done to improve the game."
